I’m proud of myself to be an Nigeria 🇳🇬💯💡’ Africa giant ✅

As a Ghanaian to be frank 1. South Africa(hosted world cup 2010, the apartheid, amapiano and more) 2. Nigeria (Took afrobeat global, burna winning a grammy, Nigerians are literally everywhere) 3. Ghana(First Sub Saharan Country to gain independence, the influence of Kwame Nkrumah and the big six, Year of return brought a lot of attention to Ghana, more and more African Americans trooping to Ghana, free citizenship to all African Americans, December in Ghana etc.) 4. Kenya (Can't say much but Tourism, Technology and Obama😂) 5. Senegal (Senegal is known in for soccer. Sadio Mane and the likes, origin of jollof rice, culture and a whole lot more) I didn't mention any North African country thus, Egypt, Morocco and the likes is because most people especially in the west don't even know them to be Africans. Because of their colour and culture they are considered as some sort of arabian islamic islands at the top part of Africa. Africans are known to be black and hence my list is fair enough for popular black African countries.

I think you are more reasonable in your opinion as a Ghanaian with a difference. Personally, I will agree with you that:- 1). South Africa is more popular because of the world cup hosting, the great Nelson Mandela that is known and read about in some schools world wide, and other historical take-outs from apartheid. 2). Nigeria. Globally, it's citizens are standing out, making the news and the country's economy is rising on the fast lane. Sorry I can't say too much because I don't want to sound bragging but you can assess Naija from your logical point of view. 3) Egypt. I know you gave it to Ghana and your reason is understandable. Don't forget that some outsiders mistake Ghanaians to be Nigerians, without being told. But you can never push Egypt to the side. It may seem less popular today but most people read the Bible everyday and know about the historical values of Egypt. the existence of the pyramid alone is a stand-out in the world. Some don't even know that it is an African country. Forget the fact that the original blacks that made Egypt what it was have been totally relegated to nothing but the original black south Africans are almost facing the same thing in these modern days too

Objectively, I still don't understand why SA will rank first ahead of Nigeria. There will be no developed SA without the settled Dutch men. Let's look at it from this perspective. SA would have been in its primitive state, light years behind Nigeria in any form of development. The White SA citizens put them on the map. If it was developed African economies Ghana and Nigeria won’t be in first 5, we will talk of Botswana, SA, Namibia, Egypt, Morocco, Mauritius… but it’s about fame. SA is a big boy when it comes to fame mainly because of the whites, it’s name, the history, and all you can pick up 10 random street people in Latin America or North Korea or Kazakhstan or Tuvalu and ask them if they know South Africa and Nigeria and most will say yes they’ve heard of South Africa and Fewer would have heard about Nigeria. Nigeria is popular today mainly because of the entertainment industry, crime and corruption/fraud (unfortunately), and the wealth of some few ones and it’s culture but it’s most popular in the English World, the west and current generation that have access to the Nigerian entertainment industry but South Africa you have to hear the name once and you know it.

As a Moroccan, I have to say 1 is Morocco, 2 is Egypt and 3 goes to Nigeria. Morocco has the most tourists in all of Africa and Egypt is a close second. Nigeria is known worldwide because of how many Nigerians there are and how they spread their amazing culture. South Africa is really close too.

I’m Polish-Canadian and have only visited one place in Africa (but politically and culturally in Europe) which is Madeira. But the most famous African country both in Canada and Poland has to be Wakanda. I know the movie makes it seem way too futuristic but the fame the 2 Black Panther movies have brought to this country is unbelievable.

This is very tough I think Nigeria makes the top 3 due to Afrobeat & being the biggest population in Africa. I can also make arguments for Kenya, they have the safari and long-distance. running. South Africa with apartheid, Mandela and amapiano. Egypt have one of the most popular tourist site in the world, millions visit the pyramid annually.

For me Nigeria is the most popular African country...not because am a Nigerian but for some facts, at least as of year 2022/2023 1. Football ⚽, the most populous sport. Nigerians are in the big clubs of the world. I live in Venezuela, South America (a football dominated continent), Since the '94 world cup against Maradona's Argentina and Atlanta '96 Olympics Nigeria has been the most popular nation in south America. This is why even FIFA loves to group Nigeria with Argentina in the world cups, the two are known as the fiercest world cup rivals. The only African country to reach 5th position in FIFA ranking as of April 2014. 2. Religion: no christian today will doubt that Nigeria is no 1 in the world, it's now the center of Christianity...I think after Israel, the next most visited nation today by christians is Nigeria. 3. Entertainment: Hollywood, Bollywood and Nollywood are the top 3 in the world. Then afrobeat rose and is the other of the day today. In boxing, Anthony Joshua In UFC, Israel adesinya etc 3. Gospel sounds... Just the song "Way Maker" has been sang in over 57 languages.. Nigeria has the most famous gospel minister in Africa, if not in the world. 4. Population: the most populous black people on earth, 1 out of every 10 black man is a Nigerian. 5. Economy: is the biggest economy in Africa and has the richest African and the richest black man in the world, (Aliko dangote) who happens to build the first world class refinery in Africa. 6. Last but not the least: has the most corrupt government in Africa and the world.... So with this few points of mine, no other country in Africa can be more popular than my beloved Naija.

Number 1 is Egypt, not only the most popular country in Africa but also one of the most popular in the world. Number 2 is Nigeria, only Egypt could have topped Nigeria. I hear people say afrobeat and I laugh lol, what about the fact that it is the richest and most populous black nation in the world? With an great human capital. what about the NBA, NFL, UFC, WBC, Universities all over the world, I can assure you that most people on this planet have something to say about Nigerians, good or bad. Number 3 is a close one but I give it to Kenya, when people think of Africa they really do be thinking Kenya, Tanzania, Zimbabwe tbh, they seem very very very African those East African countries, probably because of their Wildlife and skin tone, they’re also very progressive people. Kenya/Ethiopia are there for me, the Olympics could be another contributing factor. Number 4 is South Africa, as it is the most beautiful and organized black nation in the world. And home to the great Nelson Mandela and a very historical event is In the world which is the Apartheid. Number 4 is Ghana. Because they’re always in the conversation somehow, maybe for the contribution of Kwame Nkrumah in the liberation and emancipation of Africa and Africans from the colonial masters. They’re also the second most popular country in West Africa and would have been the most powerful if Nigeria wasn’t in the conversation. They’re also well Represented in many countries around the world. Alsways in the conversation when it comes to entertainment, sport or politics, will never forget Kofi Annan. Number 5 has to be Ethiopia 🇪🇹. Very historical country with huge population and beautiful culture
