Evening, very nice first video , we are travelling out to Skala this Thursday 14th July for our first visit, been to many Greek Islands over the years but never to Kefalonia, Corfu is our normal go to island , over 20 visits since 1987 ! 😃 will definitely try out Mikelatos and Soctrates on the basis of your review, thank you.

Always best to avoid disappointment but if you are lucky or dont mind waiting you should be fine. Mikelatos is the only one we went to where we prebooked as is very popular

I know at the start sorry, but give it a chance as have couple great first interviews after first intro. 1st video but got more stable episodes as i progress and learn!

Great video. I'm staying in Katelios on Sunday for a week. Can you get a bus to Skala and how often do they run?

Hi Steve cant say for sure as we rented a car but i have seen that there is a bus that goes from Skala to Argostoli and has a stop at katelios. Not sure if this runs for the whole day though but you can always get a taxi. Sorry couldn’t be more helpful

@@trustmeimgreek OK I will have a look. Ideally I wouldn't have chosen Katelios as I think it's a bit quiet but as a last minute it was all I could get. Definitely want to see more of the island though 😀

Hi there are areas where you could use a mobility scooter. Some areas however may be limited into venues as may have stairs. I am no expert but would say there are certainly options if you can get to places by car to start with. Sorry cant be of any further help.

Hi Paula, theres something for everyone! I would say it is fairly priced, depending where you go

Sorry to say we did 2 weeks in Skala a few years ago never had one decent meal so disappointed

I’m sorry but we have been to skala numerous times and none of these Videos state that it’s not safe for children as far as the bathing is concerned it’s very steep when you go into the sea. I think it’s not always about food families want an honest review

Hi Sarah, in Skala area by Milos is not steep according to other guests. Having said that, its different for everyone so please share where you found it easier. I will suggest Katelios as an area that might be more suitable but please take this as a suggestion from us as everyones needs are different. Take care

Just a heads up if you want shallow waters for children,have a look at Katelios , very safe and great tavernas 😎

Probably paid .. didn’t even mention the good ones ..

Nope, this is not paid advert by any of the venues, as described in the video my friend! We paid every meal! Which ones would you recommend?

I’ve been going to Skala for 25 years, I personally know the locals in this video, Chris from the jewelers, Nick, George, Jimmy and Athena from Mikalatos and many other locals, this is possibly the worst video of Skala on the internet, you bypassed all other restaurants apart from Mikalatos by filming the floor, very disappointing..

@@boxing8831 thanks for the feedback. The video is showcasing our experience and what we enjoyed. We showed more restaurants we liked, not just Mikelatos. The video is meant to give a starting point for newcomer’s to Skala. I am sure, people can make their own choices from there but in our opinion, at the time, these were our top!

What a biased Video. I could tell you a number of places to go. What utter rubbish to say you are not sponsored. I have been to all theses places with a good outcome but could tell you many other places

Hi Paul, it is not sponsored at all I promise. We loved the places we went to but these stood out for us! As I clearly state on my description, please share any positive experiences you may have. This channel is for me sharing my experiences and where I think are nice based on our journeys so far. As I say there are many beautiful places in Kefalonia and Greece overall but these have made fond memories for us. We enjoyed it and thus thought to share!

Too long, Too boring, too wobbly, too much looking at George , too many interviews….take all that rubbish out and it could have been a 5 minute video .
