I finally scored a foam block connection. A trailer sales business has piles. Found them on FB marketplace, just as you recommended. I've been editing up our interview that will post on July 5th.

Great to see you back Isaac. I'm looking forward to your new videos this year and see what you've come up with. Speaking of foam, have you ever tried to find someone who sprays foam insulation for a living? I myself, I have a foaming machine and spray foam, and I use it to make projects. I form the basic shape with heavy wire, a little heavier than coat hanger wire, and then wire tie onto that wire frame, some chicken wire mess around the quarter inch size, or half inch and double layer it to close up those openings some. Also, run some PVC pipe for electrical as well like for those mushrooms. Run some PVC pipe to the areas on the top where you might want to add an LED light so now the mushrooms glow and of course that always looks better. Then hit it with the foaming gun, and literally within two minutes your project is 80% to 90% done. It's just finishing work at that point. Plus, the spray foam is so much stronger than those foam blocks, and I mean it's like wood, and now add in the wire frame, and you have a project that will last forever, and you can build it in any wild and crazy shape you want. You never have to worry about what you can put on the foam because it will melt, because spray foam, almost nothing touches it, and it will not burn unless a flame is held to it constantly, so it's fire safe. Of course, they'll charge you, but most when they find out you're making Christmas display items, will do it for little or nothing just to help you out, I mean as long as it's not some massively huge project, but your mushrooms, and the hot coco cup with marshmallows, those are nothing for a foaming machine to knock out in less than 5 to 10 minutes for all of them. I mean they spray 40 pounds of foam a minute, and those projects will not take more than a few hits with the spray gun. If you remove too much at home during shaping, and you need to fill in an area, get a can of spray foam and use it. The spray foam sets up in just a few seconds and cools off and ready to throw in your vehicle in 30 seconds after it's sprayed. I know I did it and many times they'd bring me beer or food or whatever as payment when I didn't charge them....just don't bring them Bud Light beer....lol Anyway, just another thought on foam for projects. Keep up the great work.

This is actually a brilliant idea. I hadn’t actually thought about that but now I want to look into it. It would definitely help make projects easier. Thank you so much for commenting and staying on my channel.

Pro tip: Drive around the store and see where they keep their blocks! A couple of years ago I went to Tractor Supply and the “manager” (really just an employee who was in charge for the moment) brought me one block and said that’s all they had. He didn’t realize they had over 100 near the loading dock!

I used to work at Lowe’s in PA and we got those with the trailers. The truck driver who work with Carry On Trailers take them back but as they get busier, they hire independent truck drivers who would rather leave them. Spring time is the best time as we used to get shipments about twice a month in spring and it starts to slow down in summer and fall

I just stopped by my local TSC and at first they were like "WELL.... We are supposed to give this stuff back to our shipper, but....." then he started stacking the foam blocks next to my truck and said "Tell me when to stop!" Then I said it was time to stop, and he was like "3 more?" haha I guess TSC is putting out their halloween decorations, and they have some super cute skeleton animals.... I saw a picture of the miniature cow, and would have bought it, but they were already sold out....

I have been looking for these blocks for nearly 2 years now. Nothing. All the tractor and TSC (Peavey now) use cardboard. No one is using the large styrofoam blocks. Home Depot, Lowe’s, Rona. All cardboard only. Must be a Canada thing. I find that strange since everything is coming from China….

Why is Styrofoam being banned? Styrofoam is slow to degrade and frequently leaches chemicals into the environment. Styrofoam manufacturing requires using hydrocarbons, which are released into the air and produce a hazardous pollutant, ground-level ozone. This pollutant can impair lung function and lead to respiratory illness. Did you know? Is this true?
