    Great tips Andrew👍👍 I used my new sounder today for the first time. I saw these same things you're showing happening on my screen a bit, so your video could'nt have come at a better time for me. I got a small mulloway early, then only small flattys and reds after that. I spent more time experimenting randomly with different settings than I did fishing. Glad I got it though.

    Cheers Andrew lets hope it helps get those jew in your boat. Might b a bit crowded at holiday time but i find its the best time of year to scan around an find some new ground. Never hurts to have heaps of marks in the sounder gives u more options when its windy, which is most days 😂

    Inspired me to get my sounder working again and went and spot locked on a spot I caught one before, plenty of bait and fish on the sounder drops down from like 5-10m. I don't have side scan though which sucks, i got a nice pan snapper flathead and then got busted off by a big tailor 🙄😭 no jew today but feel confident on the spot with a bit of persistence. Cheers mate

    First time I've seen someone talk about these structures on the lake. I've come across many, and fished them a little but will spend some more time focussing on them now. I reckon they're the only real natural structure in deeper water through the lake. Are they cockle beds?? I have pulled up a shell before from one of them. Would be interesting to dive on them or get some underwater footage.

  • @Lowysfishing

    @Lowysfishing

    Yer im sure there cockle beds Tom. Good places to fish in general but they hold fish so always a chance bigger fish will visit. Id say that all through the lake they would b found its just a matter of looking around the different areas 👍

  • @Lowysfishing

    @Lowysfishing

    4 минут бұрын

    @@RR-bm6od i just cruise when im using the side imagining usually under 10kph , mine will read bottom and find structure going 40kph but its not as clear as when i just idle along. An the slower u go the better the quality of sounding u get back which makes identifying the bottom much easier. An its much easier to see fish aswell an bait schools when going slower.

  • @Lowysfishing

    No i just leave the standard hooks on there as im only using 16lb braid. If they get bent then i replace them..If im fishing around bridges with them i swap the hooks out for some strongers hooks though as il use a much heavier drag an usually 20lb braid.
