Len's mill is honestly the best selection of trims left in the city as far as I've found.
Love how you talked about TTC accessibility
Thank you for this fabric shopping tour. Sitting here in Central Florida after hurricane and surgery earlier this week. Much needed eye candy!!!!
Karen I am green with envy. I live in Vancouver and we used to have this abundance, but with rents being what they are ...we have to drive an hour to hit a fabric store. If I want any selection, I have to order on line (from the Island, Kelowna or Alberta). I so miss touching fabric. Even our Walmarts have given up on fabric and notions, Last year when I needed a new sewing machine I discovered only two brands were sold and serviced in our city. Everything has disappeared in the space of 10 years.

It is really challenging for shops.
As someone who is going to Toronto this December, this is perfect for me. :)
Even if this video comes a little late for me ,because I left Toronto ten days ago, I am so happy that I could visit some beautiful fabric stores. I bought fabrics from Sew Sisters ,where Julie introduced me to their fabrics and advised me and later I double visited Fabric Land . I am so pleased with all I've purchased ,even if I wanted to by more and more fabrics and tools, but my luggage weight was an obstacle! I came back to Romania with 20 pounds of fabrics ,accesories and tools and of course with a lot of wonderful memories! 🤗
You’re so fortunate to have such a variety close by.
I‘m just like you: when I‘m wandering through a fabric store I have to touch all the fabrics, too. That’s why buying fabrics online isn’t my favourite thing to do. You can’t feel it and see what the colours are really like. I wish I had such a variety of stores here in my area of Germany.
Wonderful tour❤
Love the last store gorgeous material. Thanks for the video . ❤
this was interesting. you'll have to show us your fabric haul :)
Karen, please could you do a video on what to do in Toronto if fabric isn’t your thing? I am seriously considering spending the second week of my honeymoon here (just for the fabric), but I need stuff that’ll win over my fiancé who has zero interest in fabric and sewing. 💖💖
You did a great job promoting the fabric stores in Toronto!!

Thank you so much!
I was a frequent visitor to Toronto pre-pandemic. I didn't know these stores existed! Thank you soooo much because now when I go back, I will have so much fun fabric shopping.👍🏻❤️💫
This is a lovely service you are providing, Karen - thanks - if only you could do this for every major city in Canada!!! Be you, be well.
I’ve been shopping at West Wood for 30 years. ( Especially for knits.)
No chance that I ever will come to Toronto shopping for fabric, but the tour was nevertheless very impressing. Thank you very much for the videos!
What a great series Karen. Thank you!

Glad you enjoyed it!
Wow! Can't wait to go!
I'm from a suburb of Detroit so Toronto is not that far! Always wanted to visit and you've given me so many more reasons to make the trip! Thanks Karen!

There's a non stop train from the Canada side to Toronto, 4 hr trip. My friend in Windsor, CA left around 5pm on a Fri nite & spent a 3 day weekend with me. It was my 1st time in Toronto & I loved it. Go visit Toronto!
Wow that last store was amazing. Honestly I would visit everyone and just to as Gnome Angel says" fabric fondle". What a rich textile city.
These videos create so much desire to visit Toronto and its fabric shops, great 👏👏👏🙏
I never thought of visiting Toronto before, but now I will!
I would love the wools. I haven't sewn with wool for years but it's still one of my favorite fabrics. So many beautiful fabrics.
These videos are helping figure out where I must visit when I’m home next. So many great options!
I love this series! I’m visiting in Toronto and have already visited and purchased fabric from Ontario Fashion Textiles and Sew Sisters. I highly recommend them both.
Great video!! I could just imagine your joy with all of the exotic fabrics, then I saw your face! I love fabric, as well and thoroughly enjoyed both these videos! Looking forward to the third one, maybe one day I will be able to go to Ontario to see some of these stores! Thank you for sharing!
So fun!!
Sew Sisters is a lovely store, the first place I bought from online and then decided to visit. The owner is so nice and helpful. Even my husband knows where it is and suggests we "visit" if we are nearby. Lens Mill.... ahhh, what a place to get lost in! 30+ years ago (yikes!) it was a favourite place to shop in their 2nd store in Kitchener/Waterloo area when we lived there - now they have stores all over Ontario! Can't wait for more choices to shop in your next video. Thanks for sharing Toronto (and Ontario) and showing the diver
I love these videos of the fabric shops near you Karen even though I live in England. I also love the beautiful and unique African fabrics. Since Covid I’ve not been in a fabric store but now I HAVE TO!! Haha. You’ve inspired me. Thanks Karen!
I love this series and I can't wait for Toronto East since I'm a Scarborough girl. Also I can't believe I never thought of checking the Orfus Rd area lol.
Loved the first video - can’t wait to watch this one - thank you !
Another amazing shopping tour. Such a large city and range of fabric stores I think you needed a large trolley to carry your selections.
Thank you so much for another fantastic episode! I look forward to visiting some of those stores someday! 😍
When I visited Toronto was pleased with diverse neighborhoods, restaurants & entertainment options. Sadly didn't get to visit any fabric stores...sadly. Karen this series is terrific. You certainly live near a variety of unique stores, lucky you girl! Love 2 Cavies in Sarasota, Florida
Wow I'm so envious of how many fantastic fabric shops are there , amazing .
Great video set! Really interesting to see to see your garment district is like Los Angles has.
I am truly enjoying this series. Thanks for doing it. I’d have to touch all of the fabric too. 🤗
Wonderful video! I live in PEI and go to Oshawa now and again. Will surely make a round of these fabric shops next time I'm in Ontario. Thanks for sharing, Karen.
I'm a long ways from Toronto. I live near Auburn University in Alabama. I spotted a bolt of Auburn Tiger fabric in Len's!
I live in western Canada so not close enough to visit shop but I am enjoying the tour. I have ordered from Sew Sisters and they were wonderful.
Thank for you for the great tour. I live east of Toronto so I’m especially looking forward to the next episode. Thanks Karen! 😘
Karen what are you going to make with the african fabric? I love the bright colors.
Great video series. I’m jealous of the variety of stores and fabrics available. Makes me think… should I go back to garment sewing? Answer - nope!😊
You make everything look fun. Now, I think I need to make plans to go to Toronto. Thanks for this video.
I have ordered from Sew Sisters. Their product and service is excellent. I have visited Len's Mills in Cambridge, London and Woodstock. They also have one of the best yarn departments around. I live an hour east of Toronto and wish they would open a store out our way. I look forward to seeing your video on the eastern GTA stores.
Thank you Karen, What an Amazing Tour, Stunning! Have a wonderful weekend, ❤️❤️❤️👍 Chris aka Chris-Raleigh NC
Oh my, that last store, WOW.
What a wonderful video thank you so much.
That was so fun
Great video, I’m in Toronto west and have not heard of many of these store. Will certainly visit some soon.
These are the type of stores I would get lost in for hours!! Just to looks at the fabrics is nirvana.❤❤❤❤❤
I wish I lived closer to Toronto…so many fabulous fabrics!
Such beautiful fabrics, thanks for sharing.
I've been to a couple different Len's Mills, which are always an adventure. Fabricland is almost like our Joann's in the US, but I like it better. Now that we can get into Canada more easily- and I have all my booster shots - watch out fabric stores! Thanks again.
Absolutely using this list when I go to Toronto -Viewer from Detroit
Oh I wish I lived near Toronto. That is so awesome! Not that many stores in Lafayette Indiana
It is wonderful to know that the fabrics I want are available somewhere; however, they are not available here. Some of the fabrics you showed me I have been wondering if they were being made or sold anywhere anymore. Now I know they are. Thank you.
I live down the 401 west of the city (kw)and I forget that I should spend time shopping the city. Karen, have you visited the quilt show in the Mennonite community in at Jacobs and Elmira ?

No I have not...yet
I would order 6 yards from Ceetek International for a backing but their online shopping said unavailable. Very interesting visiting all the stores. I'm far away in Southern USA so online options would be great.

😊😊😊
And where to buy in Montreal please.
