The way you give information isn’t too complicated that as a viewer you have to really think about what you’re saying, so I can actually watch your videos and not feel like it’s hard work to follow along with what’s going on. But also, just how they’re edited is just visually pleasing to watch. GREAT catch. Contrary to popular belief, the US doesn’t actually use the Imperial system, though. It feels so odd as a black person that we hear these stories from journalist's who don't understand our experiences and never could. I have jamaican and hatian family whove dealt with the horrors of the things the white men who run this country, have done to live so abundantly. So always being told how bad it is by a white men journalist's just never feels like anything more than a smack in the face. But white supremacy says these are the arbiters of our collective truths, it give them the power so I suppose its best the story is told rather than not at all... I suppose...

    If you look up any register for Liberian offshore companies you will see that all the mail is forwarded to the same location. This is a same for all the places for all around the world. In the EU United Kingdom is one of the biggest offshore countries as they have a special type of company that is an LLC but not allowed to trade within UK. In return it pays no tax. There are flats in London with multiple thousand of companies registered. It is also pretty easy to register, 125 EUR and 10 minutes. Currency fair business account is a few euros and you are ready to go without any tax.

    @@DanielBulyovcsity Hey, this is an interesting topic, and you seem to know about this stuff. So... I'm wondering why for example a Spanish guy starting a company would choose to start a British LLC instead of for example in the Caymans. Do you know.

  • @DanielBulyovcsity

    @DanielBulyovcsity

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@udkc keep in mind all these only work if you are doing some business that does not require a physical location in your country (like you can't do this if you are a hairdresser or car mechanic hope you get what I mean) cayman, malta etc. all has different prices to start a company and their laws are slightly different. I know in Malta you still have to pay some taxes (not much tho) and you can take the rest of the money as dividend. You also need at least one more guy in the company as a "secretary". So the fastest, cheapest, simplest is the UK company. Literally 10 minute to do, you need to photoshop an english utility bill to prove your address (they won't accept spanish) and basically that's it. You don't need to submit invoices (tho it is vise to collect them). There is a 100eur upkeep fee yearly. You will create a business account in transferwise or revolut wichever you fancy most and you receive all your money there via transfer. You can spend directly on the business account for clothes, travel, restaurant etc. whatever you can describe as business spend. This will be 100% invisible for your government. However you should not buy groceries and other daily stuff this way. The second step I cannot help with is to talk to an accountant and figure out what is the cheapest way in spain to get your money. You will have two case: smaller amounts for daily living and bigger spend (like buying a car). You will need to pay some tax tonthe governmenr when you want to spend a bigger amount.

  • @udkc

    @udkc

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@DanielBulyovcsity Oh, so it's basically just down to what's cheapest and/or most convenient. I was thinking maybe it was related to some kind of EU regulation since you mentioned it - e.g. a rule that made it harder to operate tax haven registrered companies inside the EU. I see now that you only meant to point out that UK provides a tax haven inside EU. Which I do find both interesting and scary. Didn't know that at all. Although I'm aware of these buildings with like 100s or 1000s of shell companies on the same address. Thought that was just some smoke & mirrors-stuff though. And I only used Spain as an example cause my own country is an EEC country 😅

You saw how easy it is to Google a company that will handle registering your company for you, it doesn't exactly take much imagination and thinking to wonder what might happen to the fees and small taxes you pay. Have you ever seen a headline about the amazing achievements these governments have done with the wealth they have? But hey, when people are registering their companies they're thinking about making a tonne of money and they don't want to think about what happens to that money.

    Duration doesn't matter when the content is so high quality. This 19 minute video felt like a breeze because the content was so engaging. Also the music made the experience even more exciting. I would love to see a full length documentary directed by you on a topic like this.

    You're amazing. Journalistic breath of fresh air...AND promoting companies featured in your "stories" can be considered problematic. Being funded by groups of people that may have a financial incentive to support you can be inherently questionable. Can you be supported more "by the people"? Do you have a donation link?

    @@varunsubramanian5484 I don't think I'm woke and I don't hate America. I think that as an American watching a video by another American, there is a lot of glorification of ugly things in our history and there's a huge lack of transparency when learning about such history. I don't think by any means that it's not the same for other countries, of course it is. I'm sure there are very few countries who don't have ugly things to be held accountable for. Maybe you should ask people what they think before you tell them what they think.

    It's not a US exclusive fault this time. Liberia isn't exactly a unique tax haven, its not only the US using its services, and whatever that civil war was about was not within the interests of anyone in for the tax haven. Holding the US accountable in this case is like holding the hardware store accountable for a murder that used a sledgehammer that came from their store. Tax dodging is obviously shit but that's a different topic.

    @@varunsubramanian5484 how does saying OTHER countries do worse things take away from USA's bad implication in this. Stop thinking YOU are woke by blindly loving the US government. You understand that you can love a country and dislike its government right? Seems that you don't know anything about nuance.
