Where Pilgrims Fall (Korogashi) - Shikoku Pilgrimage Day 4
The first ‘Korogashi’ section of the shikoku 88 pilgrimage, where pilgrims may give up. I ended up walking over 30 km on the day and still was feeling pretty good.
Definitely if you are doing this section bring plenty of water in the morning, you can buy a bottle up at temple 12 at the vending machine or refill your bottle in the sink there but after that you still have some decent trekking to do and not really any place to fill up for probably another 6 km or or so. I pushed myself and ended at Uemura Ryokan which was about 10 km past temple 12… it was very comfortable with a hot bath, great food and a kind hostess.

Go strong, go all the way Eric, think its cool of U to do a walk like this 🤘😎 Next long walk have to be E1 walk starting in north Norway, ending up in south Italy.. or just the Norwegian part 😉

Are you scheduling inns in advance? Or just staying wherever?

Staying wherever, but it isn't the best idea at the moment. Have encountered twice now where inns are closed and hard to find a place to stay due to it being the low season/rainy season. Not many walkers at the moment.
