This was such a great video! I went there in 2017 and unfortunately the rail line was down at the time causing a bus transfer and a large delay. Ended up getting there in the late afternoon vs mid morning. Was so tired ended up missing a bunch of things including Okunoin! But still glad we made the effort to get there and stay at a temple. One of these days I'll be back. Maybe not a temple stay this time due to expense, but if you're a first time visitor splurge a little.

Thanks for your travel guide video. Very good. I enjoyed my stay at Koyasan very much for 3 days and 3 nights in December 2019. Got immersed in the 5am chanting at Tororo temple and visiting the cemetery during daytime and night tour. Museum and the different tempel complexes are a vist worth. Had a very inspirational time there. Highly recommended!

mt.Koya is the real ancient Japan( I think Kyoto is a little bit for travel and sight seen... ) When you go to Mt. Koya, Ekoin(惠光院)is the really good Shukubo to stay, it has night tours of Okunoin(奥の院). I go there every year, really good.
