Happy world piano day! My school has this simply gorgeous Blüthner grand piano on the stage. It's from the early 1900s and sounds rather beautiful, but it sadly doesn't get the respect it deserves. I did some amateur repair work on it last year; mending and reattaching the pedals, un-stickying the keys and tinkering with dodgy hammers. It's now a very nice instrument indeed, but it could do with revoicing, and I don't trust myself to try that. Here's a song I've already played on my ship's piano, albeit in a more upbeat fashion.
