I'm just trying to show that if you have different capture zones, it doesn't matter what your final mat is. Also, liberation of gold from the gravel in the hopper & finally check for those big nuggets out the back. I'll be out your way tomorrow picking around.

These are the results I found too, this is why I went with the short one I have now with the bonus of it being easy to carry in and out to the creek, good informative vid. 👍

The longer sluice will help on different ground. Was also testing to see how much gold top mat would hold. The real test will be I the creek.

@@MurrayRiversGoldAdventures Yeah im still 50/50 on running a top mat so far nothing goes past my first mat in the sluice but other materials may be different.

@anothergoldprospector all depends on how much gold you want to hold onto. Haven't put it on the scale yet. But it has to be pushing 9 grams

Yep I've found similar results. I don't run anything in the hopper I have a little crash box under the grizzly with miners moss in it which catches 90% maybe more. Sometimes wonder why I bother having a mat below it.

I think the mat is for longer runs. Will test again in the creek to see if more gold makes it to the mat.

Interesting results. You would definitely need to do a longer run to get better results but thats an impressive amount of Au. How many buckets did you run through it?

You didn't show how much material you ran ? You didn't show much of anything really. Hopefully you remember to show bit more running the highbanker on your next outing
