You will never believe it! We have found the elusive Ximungwe Female's precious little cubs. Through a perfectly coordinated lengthy search, not really, James Souchon and the new intake of Ranger Trainees managed to find the Ximungwe Female leading her two tiny cubs to a new den.
Now, let's rewind a bit. While busy filming, the distant chatter of alarmed monkeys caught my attention. The closest vehicle capable of lending a hand in the investigation was James and the new recruits. Urgency fuelled the search as this was in an area where we presumed the Ximungwe Female to be keeping her cubs, a den site that we had yet to find.
Imagine their disbelief as they round a bend to encounter none other than the majestic Ximungwe Female, proudly guiding her two adorable cubs down the road.
With hearts racing, we join forces and pile into a single vehicle, mindful of the delicate balance between awe and respect for this wild mother and her precious cargo. As she traverses through rugged terrain, every twist and turn brings with it the possibility of encountering danger.
But enough from me - it's time to let the footage speak for itself.

Leopard Cubs are so cute.
Morning LGR. It's so greatly fantastic to read and hear the elusive Ximhungwe female walking her third litter of 2 very cute and tiny cubs down the road. She must feel so pleased with herself to show them of after carrying them inside her tummy for 105 days. Although they represent her third litter, this is the first litter of two that she has proudly produced. I'd like to wish her the very best of hopeful luck with raising them very successfully. But she must also feel pleased with herself to have raised 2 older but handsome young males to independence in two separate broods one after the other. This highly experienced and ever so successful 9yr old mother leopard isn't going to get any rest, peace and quiet from her two tiny and energetically healthy cubs as they demand lots of milk and meat together. She'll be tired. Even if some people might well say it's mission impossible to tell what they are, but when they're tiny, the only way to find out what gender they are is by simply looking at their rear ends. But hopefully you'll soon be able to confirm what they are exactly, and then let me know a.s.a.p. . The only time the Ximhungwe female will get some peace and quiet from her two tiny cubs, is when she's seen out and hunting alone for them as well as herself. I hope you will be able to keep track of their movements so that all wildlife fans are updates frequently. I'd like to see and hear how they are doing in photos and updates, as she raises them to hard independence very well. The thing I feel she's earned herself is a well done medal.
