Optimizations are always nice, but custom levels will be _sooo useful!_ Honestly, I care less about competing for high scores (though not having a high score lets me know that my solution is suboptimal and can be improved), but just being able to test components will mean that I won't have to manually change the inputs and see if the output is correct for the component.

Man, I just stumbled across this game and I'm just in wild delight... I have been interested for a very long time in how a computer works at its basic, lowest level (I mean just on the logical elements "Not", "Or", "and",). I know how to make these elements out of transistors, but then ... 😨, but you're my hero, please continue in the same spirit, you're just a miracle PS I can throw off a couple of videos exactly how to do it physically (logical elements), that is, with my hands, but I'm from Russia and the videos will also be in the appropriate language 😅

Thank you for your ongoing dedication to this fantastic CS simulator! As a newcomer to the game, I experienced a profound sense of accomplishment the first time I utilized the smallest instruction set and custom assembly codes to navigate mazes. I have a few suggestions that could enhance the game further: 1. Display level names on the campaign page. 2. Enable the ability to switch the number of bits in instructions in the gear icon, not limited to 8 bits or just bound to the bit size of the program memory. 3. Provide the option to preview all levels to understand the requirements, allowing for the design of more versatile opcodes. These improvements would contribute to an even more enjoyable and user-friendly gaming experience.

Amazing work! This game taught me the basics of computer architecture. Finishing the game was super satisfying! However, the later programming levels became a bit tedious, having to code everything in my own horrible assembly language. Do you think there could be a way to make that experience a bit nicer? Like for example, have the campaign make you implement a specific instruction set, and then have a compiler that allows you to write more C-like code? I know I could do that myself already, but I think it would be a good direction for the campaign for newer players. I still would keep some assembly programming levels for teaching purposes though.

so far, planned breaking change is size of component inputs/outputs, constants, registers, delay lines - basically everything that shows internal value on it afaik their size is gonna be the same for all bit sizes, and equal to current size of current 16bit components. But during update most of the placed components like that will be transformed into custom components that do exact same thing but with original size - but that can't be done with component factory IO, so that's where you have to leave enough space for larger components before big update
