Where Do Thoughts Come From - Mark DeJesus

One of the greatest things you can understand is where your thoughts come from, because most of them do not just come from your own musings. Our thoughts are heavily influenced by other sources and we need to become more aware of them to experience the healing and freedom God has designed for us.

It's amazing how we don't think about where our thoughts come from. It's a critical issue. We need to pay more attention to our thoughts. Then we'd pay more attention to what comes out of our mouths.

Hit the nail on the head! This is so foundational to the Christians life. Yet rarely talked about in the church. Most Christians have no clue as to how to separate their thoughts and determine where they are coming from.

Hi brother! So grateful to God for saving you and using you for His glory! I have been blessed. Just a quick word about the rock that Jesus built the church upon. It is the revelation that God the Father gave Peter when Jesus asked who people say that He was. The rock of revelation that Jesus builds His church upon is that revelation that every born again believer receives, and is paramount to our identity in Christ regarding Jesus. “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” May the Lord continue to bless you with His presence and use you to minster to brothers and sisters for their equipping and growth.

This message is life-changing for me. I have been more intentional about discerning my thoughts especially when making decisions: 1. Identify thought 2. Ask: Where does/might it come from? (source: me-5 senses, past experiences, associations like friends, music, tv, etc.), God-biblically founded, God’s essence of love, power, healing, forgiveness, etc.), or satan-lead to self destruction in various areas) 3. What is the consequent feeling it brings up? Anger, worry, fear, anxiety, depression, insecurity, love, compassion, forgiveness, peace, etc. 4. Act/decide: if from the Devil, rebuke or counter it with God’s word; if from God, be thankful, worship, or put it into action; if from me and negative, work on restoration of the area that needs attention

god created everything and that includes thoughts so this is how I see it god created spirits or something to house our thoughts until the time that they will be released into us the thoughts that I am using to write this message he created them 1000's of years ago.

Such a good word! I've been pondering something and I would love your thoughts on it. Why do we talk about the enemy/Satan like he's on no omnipresent? We always say 'he' but why don't we say 'they'?
