@@Marsh170 None of the issues you mentioned didn't exist last year, even if the wording would be slightly different. Despite that, the receiving core is significantly better, the O-line depth has improved, and there's always a chance CW has a better rookie year than expected. If they had just gotten a bit lucky last year they could have made the playoffs. Yet, you're writing off a better team this year because... at this point I just have to assume you don't like them?

@robpiepho - There is only one question mark, Rob. The WR's are Pro Bowl Calibur. The TE's are both very good. The RB's area solid trio. The OL is improved. The defense proved it can be top 5 in points allowed last season. Shane Waldron already proved what he can do. He helped Geno Smith become a legitimate starting QB in the NFL when he was a mid-level backup before coming to the Seahawks. We only have ONE question and ONE unknown. Is Caleb Williams a franchise QB? If not immediately, how about in a season or two? He has never played a down in the NFL. He has never never faced a NFL level defense. It is enough already with the comparisons to Patrick Mahomes and premature expectations. We will all know what we have by late September 2024, after 3 or 4 games. Maybe before.

You can’t even rank what hasn’t been seen yet. (for the year) The thing I find very interesting 🧐 Caleb is teaching the rest of the league. And he’s not even,,,, played an NFL game yet. 😅 How crazy is that, and everyone is watching. (and implementing) GO BEARS!!! Exciting times approaching.

Besides any enthusiasm I may have, I truly feel the Bears are going to have a surprising season. If the way things are going for them now isn't an indication, I am going with that. The good favor will continue. Yes-- Chi... I believe they should win 11. Willams has the talent and the tools (but he is a rookie). If they can beat the Pack twice they will. They should have beat Detroit twice last year and both teams are better, but the Bears have done more to improve! So if Caleb plays better than most rookies (and the GMs consensus is he will) they should win the division.

Honestly with how easy their schedule is laid out. They should go into the bye week at 6-0 or 5-1. The only legit team they could lose to is 49ers, all the rest are HIGHLY winnable games and yes. I believe that Bears can beat Lions, Packers and Vikings TWICE next season.

From week 1 to the bye week, Texans are the only one that can possibly beat Bears. Their schedule is way easier than last year schedule. This is not a bias take, this is being honest. I think CW is going to be really good. But it’s more likely that he’ll have an average rookie season then having the type of season to needed to make the playoffs. These lofty expectations while having a rookie QB is a mistake.

Hey Harrison, The Bears are not quite the #7 Team in the NFC in 2024; with rookie QB Caleb Williams as the starter, and no rookie QB has ever won a SB in his first year in the NFL... I see the Bears as the #11 or #12 team in the NFC at most. It is a transition year for the Monsters of the Midway. New QB, New OC the secondary still needs improvement along with the O-Line. I predict: 6 or 7 wins at most for the Bears in 2024 and missing the playoffs again. SIGH 🤔😑😔

@michaelhough - Matthew Stafford has a different skillset than Caleb Williams. Matthew Stafford has a stronger arm and is more of a pure pocket passer. I think Kyler Murray is the best comparison for Caleb Williams. Murray is a little faster and Caleb is a little stronger, bigger with a more fluid throwing motion. Probably a stronger arm, as well. The hype is a concern. I hope Caleb Williams plays well and adjusts relatively quickly to the NFL. NO QB is ever a guarantee. NEVER.
