I have decorated in beachy Hampton because I live near the beach on the Gold Coast. Used grey, white, calm blue and silver. Did a few feature walls with delicate wallpaper in slightly sparkly dandelion cream and grey pattern. Also used a shiny embossed silver bedspread. Result - relaxed sophistication.

I have always been a French provincial girl but I have a passion for the blue white and lavenders and my living room is slowly turning Hamptons even though I live in country Queensland.

Very good video. I live in a small house 3 miles from Sag Harbor. While beautiful, affluence has it's downside. Terrible traffic, out of control prices and and elite arrogance.

Definitely, especially since Covid, it’s ridiculous, and extremely unfortunate for everyone who lived there full time for years. Sag Harbor was such a sweet town, now even the pizza place isn’t the same, I always enjoyed walking downtown during school lunch and getting a slice of pizza, or going to The Paradise to have French fries, it was decorated with pigs everywhere back in the old days. At least the art gallery is still owed by the same person, The Wharf Shop is still there and The Variety Store. Yes, many years ago I lived in Sag Harbor and my mom and sister still do, I miss it.

It is stunning isn't it! I believe it gets quite cold and snowy in The Hamptons in winter - which also looks beautiful!! 🥰❄⛄

Yes it gets cold but can be peaceful. You can go in the water for a second but it is very very cold. However, you do not have to worry about any sharks during the winter as they head south. As far as swimming, Best to find a new friend with a house that has an indoor pool.🙂

There has not been any Hamptons Style for at least two decades now. Ralph Lauren has sort of homogenized the whole look into something that anyone with a buck can wear.

I spent lots of time in Montauk. Hope to have a vacation home there soon. I like the Hamptons style but also contemporary. Australia is quite beautiful and I hope next year to see it in person. I too love the ocean and the beach. I guess that is why places like Australia and the Hamptons are on my mind. Even winter can be nice in the Hamptons as tourists and Summer people leave. A sense of calmness and tranquility exists.

Not sure how much “Style” remains in the Hamptons. Money buys everything including bad neighbors.
