Notice how the earth king though Sokka a water tribe member was the avatar, had Aang not disappear or there was no war, the next avatar would be a water bender, this solidifies the earth king really didn’t know about the war

Also, Avatars are not usually told what they are until about 16 years old. Sokka is about 16. Aang is obviously younger. Plus, Sokka is speaking for the group as though he's the leader.

5:16 My theory is that, because the king has been kept so in the dark, he assumed the air avatar had already lived and died, and now it was the era of the water avatar. And since Long Feng said “the avatar and his friends” the kind narrowed it down to Sokka.

It's not surprising that Zuko is feeling ill. There is a connection to your element that is in spiritual. And, fire bending is fueled by rage for most of them. Separating from such an intricate part of yourself would leave you weak and incomplete. Iroh knows because he went through it.

there is no controversy in saying book 2 is better than 1, it is simple fact :D

10:00 I would guess it has to do with firebending. Firebenders are the only benders who can create their element, and a fever is the body giving of heat. Essentially the sides of Zuko's personality are both using his ability to fiebend against each other and wrecking his body with fever.

Nah, It's definitely not controversial to say book 2 is better because it doesn't mean book 1 is bad. It's just that book 1 is introducing and setting the stage. Now they can really develop and evolve the characters and let them grow and overcome struggles together. Book 1 is the strong foundation so books 2 and 3 can stand even taller! 🔥💨🌊🪨 That teamwork to reach the Earth King is SO SICK though! That left-right Earth shield thing Toph does to block incoming attacks is my favorite!

Ik the entire Zuko metamorphosis thing is supposed to be very serious but i just find it funny that Zuko does one good thing and his body catches a fever 😂. The entire action sequence where the Gaang destroyes the army is really good and is my favorite sequence in book 2. The king is apparently based on a real Chinese Emperor who was crowned at the age of 7 or 8 and was also not allowed to leave the palace and was eventually dethroned after a coup. U just know things arent right if they're going too well. Love how Toph literally states at the start of the ep. The Ozais angels dressed as Kyoshi warriors was a really good twist. But when i first watched this ep the first thing the 13 yr old me asked was, "Wait, Did Azula seriously leave 3 kyoshi warriors half naked tied to some tree in a Jungle. Like goddam thats savage." 😂😅 Great reaction😊😊. Hope u have a good day. Edit: 14:46 its not really controversial, Dee. Most people would agree that Book2 is better than Book1. Book 1 lays the foundation for the entire series, Book 2 builds on that by having greaaaat character additions to the show like Ozais Angels and Toph.

Also to add about the Earth King being based off of a China's last emperor during WW1 OR 2 I believe that actually didn't know a world War was going on and apparently nobody acknowledged him as emperor for a few year by then.

Hey Meesh and I hope you two day have been good. "Happy Friday". This was a great episode. Zuko is fighting an illness because of him saving Appa cause him to have an internal conflict with himself because he achieved a spiritual awakening. Despite the journey being a painful one. It great moment that Aang and gang was able to get the King to see the truth that Long Feng and the Dai Li working with the Fire Nation in which Long Feng is arrested for treason. Even tho the Dai Li arrested Long Feng. They're still are loyal to him. Meanwhile Azula, Mai abd Ty Lee successfully infiltrate Bai Sing Sai. But anyway I hope you two have a wonderful day. 9:00 Don't know for sure but I would gues the earth kings did know earleir in the war, the Dai Li likely took an opportunity at soem later point to hide it. My theory is that when the current King's father died the Dai Li took the opportunity to subvert the monarchy.
