Succession gives a brilliant example of how a screenwriter adapts a mogul.
Rupert Murdoch is the controversial billionaire owner of Fox and Newscorp. Succession, produced by screenwriter Jesse Armstrong and filmmaker Adam McKay, is loosely inspired by the Murdoch family, Jesse Armstrong’s early ‘The Murdochs’ screenplay, King Lear and Citizen Kane.
At the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards, Succession won 10 times. At the Golden Globes it won Best Television Series, Best Actor (Kieran Culkin), Best Actress (Sarah Snook) and best Supporting Actor (Matthew Macfayden).
Succession stars Brian Cox as Logan Roy, Sarah Snook as Shiv, Jeremy Strong as Kendall, Kieran Culkin as Roman, Alan Ruck as Connor and Nicholas Braun as Cousin Greg.
Nicholas Britell composed the score and Succession theme song.
And it all started with Rupert Murdoch.

I haven't seen the show but I enjoyed this. I might just have to give Succession a watch. I found your channel recently because another channel was bad mouthing Roald Dahl, so I had to see what the fuss was about. I'm enjoying your content & I hope you keep making videos.

Brother... You're an amazing creator. Please keep making videos and don't let the fucking algorithm stop you. For example, I have to come to the search bar and type your channel to see if there is a new video. Eventually you will have the attention and success you deserve. I'm a small creator too. Logans death was so fucking bullshit, i abandoned that show in its final season. killing off the best character with no fanfare or reason, "oh but thats realistic" fuck that, shiv is godawful and they clearly made her the main character, instead of accepting that the best part of it all was logan vs candle.
I just dont get the whole genre of fetishizing extremely rich and out of touch people, or why it is popular. Take this show, something like Empire, or any of the navel-gazing movies Hollywood writes about itself. Whats the appeal? Apparently there is appeal because these productions become very popular, but I dont get it.
