I've caught alot of catfish and pro tip: if you can see/feel the rod do alot of little pulses in a short amount of time its a catfish or a ray, but usually a catfish. My pb is a 25 inch channel cat. Was fishing off an oyster bar at low tide. I was standing on the oyster bar

Those gaftop sail cats are actually decent eating if you wanna go through the pain of cleaning them. Just like any catfish. I actually preferred them but that could have been placebo. This old timer used to joke that you could lick them and trip balls 😜.

I was kayak fishing one day using artificial and finally got a bite after long day and end up being damn sail fin cat 😒

Been there.... hooked into what I thought was a bull drum in the marshes and it turned out to be a big ass blue cat. It even made a run at the end too like a drum. And it was moonlight fishin so I couldn’t even tell what it was until we got it on the dock!

It's just a catfish, nothing cool or worth showing. That's the point of the video. Its kind of a running joke here on the Gulf coast how bad and annoying the catfish are when you're fishing for other species. The video is probably only relatable if you fish the Gulf coast inshore saltwater areas

It's just a catfish.. nothing worth showing. That's the point of the video. I thought I hooked a big redfish, but it turned out to be a nasty catfish.
