    This was a really good video, i really appreciate how he cares about hurting the fishes mouth . Its awesome when anglers still have respect for the fish. Catch and release helps theeco system. Of course we will keep some sometimes but i like to let em go and let em grow most of the time. Thanks for the video

    Weight choice will depend on the depth and current speed. If you want your bait to remain stationary, 1-2 oz depending on your area should get the job done. But you also should have heavier weights in case

    So Mornings & Evenings are best times to surf fish regardless of tides correct??? What particular tide cycle is best paired with morning & evening???

    I've personally had the most success surf fished the top half of the rising and falling tide.

    Yes I use a okuma bait runner when fishing dead bait all the time. Usually I have the bait runner in a holder- then I cast around with another rod to search for other fish.

    The reason behind the lighter color on reds on the beach is because of their diet. They spend more time eating bait fish, and less time eating crustaceans.

    I was told reds don't hang on the beach or surf and that they prefer cover. Was told no cover like mangroves no reds...I call BS now

    For the really big ones they like the surf. For the medium to small ones, they like seagrass and mangroves.

    They are usually more red. Even those have a slight red fish
