I am Bengali and I am staying in Chennai since a month. The way they preserved their culture is really praise worthy. They are more kind hearted than North Indians. I am really lucky to have my job in Chennai.

When they begin to know that they are South Indians They started to troll like Lungiwala One of my friends was dark. They asked him that 'Are you bath with tar?'. Punjabis are so racists, they think theirselves as superior and others as inferior.

My 4 years in Tamilnadu were very special. Theres a vibe you get there as a Telugu person thats not found anywhere else. Tamil people are an inspiration in defending their identity with passion and thinking of long term consequences for any action and no, its not wrong at all. Anyone who says that its wrong, are either naïve or blindly nationalistic or has their own agenda. Ive had my mobile stolen there during midnight by a group of guys but other than that one dark spot, my B tech time in Coimbatore was very memorable. The word Madrasi never felt like an insult to me and people there were very warm with exceptions like anywhere else. Planning to visit Madhurai once the vaccine arrives. By the way, enakku Tamizh nalla varum.

No language or people is inferior to other. Everything has a unique style and beauty. Instead pointing out the defects and trolling others, we should show kindness towards others. We may have different languages, but we share the same Love. Imagine how the world will be when no person thinks that he is superior. Let's try and work together to bring that world. This is what the world needs now! Love. Let's spread Love! Peace for all✌️ and hatred for none.

I completely get it why Tamilians protest any form of Hindi Imposition. You know I forgot to read and write my mother tongue Bangla simply because of Hindi and not because of English. Because when I was being shifted to a new school to be in 8th grade, there I was been introduced to Hindi with English unlike in my previous schools where I studied my mother tongue Bengali with English. Now learning a new language is not a problem. But the problem is that Hindi as a second language came as a way of Replacement for my mother tongue Bengali unlike English which did not replace it. I didn't realize its complications then but I realize it now. And that's why those who protest Hindi Imperialism they don't necessarily protest English. Because they fear that it's actually Hindi which will take away their mother tongue. And you can clearly understand it from an instance of my case. At least Tamilians clearly understood it.

What ever language you support, remember one thing.. a good thing will be good in all languages and a bad thing will be bad. I studied about Thiruvalluvar and Kannagi in my Hindi book only. I had one poem of Bharthiyar translated in Hindi my Hindi book. Even if you support Tamizh, don't be blindfolded by your politicians and try to know things by yourself. Disregarding Hindi people as panipuri sellers or marwadi is another misunderstanding. Hindi is a new language and Tamizh is Classical one so there is no comparison. After learning Tamizh, I realized that this language also needs to be taught and researched in Universities all over India.

Thank you and good that you support Tamizh. Actually many people in TN can speak Hindi fluently. It is not that we Tamilians don't want to learn Hindi, it is juz that we love our language and we don't want anyone to force us to learn any other language (not only Hindi). The students who attend DBHPS examinations in TN is increasing day by day and infact the number is higher when compared to other southern states. This is also a proof that we do support Hindi as well. No wonder people from northern parts get irked when few people here refer them as "marwadees", we understand... We too feel the same when people in north call us "Madraasees".

My mother tongue is Tamil and I’m proud to be a Tamilian! Tamil is the oldest language in the world that is still spoken. While other Indian languages have Sanskrit influence, Tamil is the only Indian languages not to have Sanskrit influence, the only independent Indian language. I hope Tamil gets global recognition along with English.

as a Non-Indian, I find it very interesting that each state in India has a different identity (both linguistic and historical). A lot of us non-Indians tend to lump all of India into one huge mixed-smorgasbord, as if all of India was one thing only (only this or only that). But when I watched many videos here on YTB about the difference between south of India vs North of India and stuff like that, I noticed that even the cultural mentality can differ from state to state (even among the different states of the south for example). I had three Indian guys studying with me at the University here in Warsaw, in Poland (they were studying a program in English, just like me). One guy was from Tamil Nadu, and the two other guys were from the north (I forgot which region). But the Tamil guy that I was classmate with confirmed to me that Tamilians don't like using Hindi because they want to protect their Tamil identity. So this video is so true. I can relate somewhat. :D

@Bhavesh, you are correct. I am from the South. It is an ancient belief that Sanskrit and Tamil (or an ancient Proto-Dravidian language) originated simultaneously from either side of Damaru of Lord Bholenath. Today's bogus Tamil language lovers in Tamil Nadu are conveniently suppressing this fact.
