Netflix needs to make a series documentary of The Doors

I love the Doors and Finland. When I was in college in the northern California redwoods there was a finnish coffee house with hot tubs and saunas that a few folks would rent and then all the coffee you could drink was free while bathing. It was amazingly fun and relaxing. I wish they had something like that where I live now..in Baltimore Maryland...but no such luck. Anyway, Jim Morrison is my all time favorite human being ever. I just started reading Robbys book which I got as a belated Christmas present from an astranged family member whom like Jim felt about his family when he was alive, I'd prefer to forget altogether..anyway, thanks for your post. I'm looking forward to getting sucked into robbed book, much like other books by doors musicians or even just about the doors, and or Jim Morrison.. I often wonder if he faked his death like his favorite French poet...but even if he did, it's questionable if he'd still be around by 2023...although I'm certain he wouldn't be so very happy with the music of today...and he'd be disgusted by the music industry and how difficult it is for musicians to sell their music being so easy for cumsumers to consume any music they'd like for free any time they want with a few moments it takes to type the name of the song or artist on a pocket sized "phone" everyone carries in their pocket...and even without service on such phone...one can still listen to music or watch TV or movies if they are close to a mcdonalds or hotel or restaurant with free wifi. All that has destroyed chances for really talented musicians to get noticed and signed and record companies...idk if they still recruit or what!! It's unlikely. Much like people's chances of meeting a person to go out on a date with unless they go online to find someone. People just don't meet "naturally" or in person so much anymore. It's just not done. The world has changed so fast in the time since Jim might have died. It's barely recognizable...besides racism and anti government anti establishment views...which haven't changed much.

@Ari Kinnunen Well, you know you could get some posters of Hollywood...put the on your walls and pretend you're in California...and do your drawings right where you are! Don't let your environment or your surroundings hold you back from what you wanna do. I thought I'd only be happy if I was somewhere else when I was younger but I finally got comfortable living with me...and realizing God is always with me, and I see the same sun and moon and stars no matter where I am on this planet, Earth...so it's actually quite possible to be who you want and do what you like no matter where you are...and that you can always tweak your own environment to make yourself feel comfortable with your surroundings.. I'd love to see you're drawings. And if we could switch places for a week...I'd LOVE to visit Finland! I'm unfortunately too poor to make a trip like that right now and I'm completely out of billionaire friends at the moment who might finance the trip...lol...but maybe one day. Dreams and goals make it worth looking forward to tomorrow or next year...or meeting a billionaire...lol.

Well, I'd say Jim may have been somewhat strange. Unlike others, different...not quite someone who fit in. I'd definitely say that. But I do agree he was way ahead of his times. Do you know he predicted electronic music before he died? True! It was in an interview he gave once and it's on KZread. .well, I love his voice and I could listen to it day in and day out ..but anyway, he was super smart. Book smart I mean. Idk if he was high when he did that interview but it not only made sense it came true many years later. Perhaps he was a prophet... we sure don't have anyone like him now to look up to and follow .. if I'm wrong please set me straight!

Thank you for all the music you have given us. Eternally grateful to each and every one of you, John, Robby, Ray and Jim. Legends like you never die.

LONG LIVE THE DOORS. This is the real story. Not the dishonest and fake, personal biased version which BIZARRELY was directed by a man who went to the SAME film class as Jim. The true history of the Doors is far more fascinating and crazy than any half baked, BORING, stereotyped Hollywoodized telling.

Hey everyone well just like Jim my days are close to being done. I'm in my 60's but not much time left they say. So a bit about me, I found The Doors sound about 1975 ya just missed them but boy did I love them. So I started to collect Doors stuff and by stuff I mean everything that had their name on it. I would really like real Doors fans to get what I've collected over what 48 plus years. I have probably easy over 200 items including some serious limited items like ohh the belt buckle serial numbered to shit what was it 500 I believe. Luckily it is serial numbered and we don't have to go by my memory. That was only available from their web site no where else. I even have the Doors little mirror that you could only get out of that claw machine at the exhibition. Shit that was in 1977 I believe I can't remember how much I spent back then to get that dam thing but hours and hours later I got the fker probably close to 50 t-shirts at least 90% never worn dozens of tapestries and flags. Even have the necklace Jim used to wear that was made to the exact beads his had. I've got so much I honestly don't even remember some things. They had what 6 7 albums before Jim passed so how the he'll do I have over 80 records? Well most are still sealed and if it was made in another country well I had to have it. Some albums I have 8-10 of the same copy well except from different countries. Ya I was obsessed you could say. Well I am selling everything but the tattoos on my body. So if your interest hit me up and we can become friends and talk about anything Doors including what I have. I even in 1984 I believe went to a bar in Quebec Canada 🇨🇦 and the group the back Doors were playing. OMFG were they good. Well I invited the whole bar and the band to my place after the bar closed and what a freaking night that was. Yep shut down the next day by the cops. Lol. Hi I am in my upper 60's and have been a fan since the beginning. I'm responding to you because you saw the Back Doors. Jim Hakim was the singer for them and he is from where I live. They used to play the local bars here back in the day. I haven't seen him in a while. He used to come in my store here a couple years back. He used to volunteer for the SPCA and he'd pick up the donation cans. I got to know him very well. If you're interested, they still have a facebook page called The Back Doors. Good to meet another fan.
