There's not may things better than coming home from work to a cold wet nose and a wagging tail or a wagging butt (if they don't have a tail). And why are they so happy? Not because you buy them toys and treats or anything material like that. Their just happy that you came home to them. They just want to be with you. They won't judge you (Although I have stories to say otherwise. But they're funny and my fault.), they won't cheat on you, they won't lie to you (very much lmao), and although they might get mad at you from time to time, it doesn't last long. Everyone needs that type of love in their life. And if you were to ever see me, and dogs that are in my life today. After the shock wore off, you die laughing. Which is ok. 🤠😎

My wife and I had 14 “ dog family members “ in the house, from 3 lbs to 160 , it was I’ll say a fun zoo ! Lol down to 7 now ( old age effects all and lots of tears “ after “ and even now ) our pit bull gunner lol almost “ passed “ at 16 years I’ve been feeding him real food eggs etc , he gain d weight and is now as he “ was “ but ? Some believe a dog has a soul , had a mix breed shepherd named shadow lived till 17 , later my wife got me a chocolate lab I named her Tess but the funny thing is she is just like shadow, a bit different, sometimes I call her shadow, odd ain’t it ? So get another one or 2 look at them let ur instincts Gide u , name them what u want but even people name “ lost one’s “ to ie babies “ the same names as people who have been lost

I was training my puppy with silent commands and my older dog was watching and learned the silent commands just by watching, and even helped teach my puppy. this was years ago but it's still very impressive.

Please love them unconditionally like they do us. They do the best they can with the information you give them. They are a direct reflection of you, how much time, exercise, love, patience, a and correct training you give them. Exercise is SO important. A tired pup is a very good pup. Research the breed you think you want BEFORE you get a dog. Be honest with yourself about how much time you really have to spend on a dog. And if you do get a dog PLEASE adopt from the shelters and rescues. They have 6 million pets surrendered or brought in as strays or rescued from horrifying situations or from being abandoned and starved every year in America, every breed , beautiful sweet animals that there 95 percent of the time, there because their human failed them , and they pay the price. I have 3 rescues I look in their eyes every day and see how lucky I am to have have them. 😊❤

The smart dogs are the ones that you don't have to train. My dog would bow down to me to ask to go swim, even when my other dog had its own behavior jumping right in. Never taught him. I told my trained dog to crawl on the floor, my smart dog crawled along side, and never had to teach him since when I asked him to crawl. Training a smart dog is a breeze, and then they end up training you. I love my spoiled dog.

Your right iv heard people shout shut up at their dog . My dog has 2 barks one fir its a danger / stranger and a happy bark when it's a friend and she is excited . She is my early warning system I always praise her and say good girl, give her a treat if she growls a low growl it's a real danger . I v watched her go in the yard and sniff the air then she barks she remembers people's smell incredible but I swear it's true

I had a Red (F) Doberman with floppy ears. People would come up and pet her, then pull back and freak out when I told them she was a Doberman. My brother and I rented and own homes over the years, he was a cat person. My dog was trained by me, she would not take her treats til she was told to. One day my brother told her to sit and stay, put a "Meaty Bone" treat on the floor in front of her and wanted to make he wait a minute while he got a cigarette, he was out so he went 3 block to 7-11 and back. When he opened the door she was still sitting, drooling and waiting to be told "OK".
