Colgera was the most cinematic boss fight, in my opinion. It was so much fun to glide and avoid the tornadoes, while also diving into its weak points!

Yeah, the wind temple only suffers from having the dungeon composition of botw which sucks ass, but otherwise, the buildup and boss are great and it’s definitely my second favorite dungeon in this game after the lightning temple.

Yeah i feel like the regional beasts were a little too easy. Maybe it’s just because I’m comparing them to the blights from the last game, but they were just enjoyable to beat compared to the sweat required to survive the blights.

Even though the brightness of the storm ambiance is gone, I'm still so glad we can rematch it! all the opportunities to linger on the ost, kinda like how Dark Beast Ganon's fight was too short for the soundtrack, we gotta go back and really sit on it still though, agreed, I could have fought it a million more times in the sky

It's not just that they worked Dragon Roost Island's leitmotif into this that makes it so great (though I do love that), it's how POWERFUL it sounds with the choir/flute combo! Absolutely superb arrangement.

I was high as fuck when I first went through the Wind Temple and fought Colgera. Was an extremely emotional experience for me

Wind Waker was the first Zelda game I ever played, and also first one I ever completed. And Dragon’s roost was by far my fav song so having this motif return just made the battle feel absolutely freaking epic!

I'm gonna be honest, Wind Waker was my first video-game at all. It made me a Zelda fan for life and had I never played it I would have been an entirely different person.

Everyone had their guard off on this one

What made me finally accept Tears of the Kingdom and the BotW trilogy into my heart... Was this. ESPECIALLY Colgera. How pretty much my favorite bosses were easter eggs in the game

I considered Skyward Sword, BoTW and TotK a trilogy as they all include Fi (in one way or another) and eternal dragons.

I cried a lot playing this game. I was a kid again and all the time playing Zelda with my older brothers was back in my heart and I loved it

I love it when series like Zelda do these kind of things. Really adds the atmosphere of series' history, both in-game and reality.

I didn't play WW but this theme is just still so amazing

I paused the game, laid down on the floor and started to cry

It’s like going back to your childhood home after being away for years

It made me SO nostalgic and now Nintendo needs to release Windwaker onto Switch cuz now I need to play it again after 10 years

When I first fought the Colgera and heard that motif in it’s theme, the nostalgia of watching my older brother play Wind Waker flooded back to me hit hit me like a truck.

Colgera was where I went "oh damn this ain't BotW anymore," it just felt like a step up. The bombastic Wind Waker references really added to that I think. It was the first main boss I did, definitely my favorite

The fact that Dragon Roost Island is my favorite Zelda song, makes this theme SSSSSSS Tier

My first Zelda game was Wind Waker, so this perfectly describes my reaction to when I first heard the Totk Colgera theme

This track got the whole kingdom in tears

Imagine Standing on a hill looking out in the ocean and this part comes on while you're hit with a gust of wind

I've played every zelda game but when i heard colgera's theme i shed a tear

This song is truly beautiful, it really illustrates a hero fighting a gigantic monster, but it also makes you feel like the heros of the past are by your side, giving it their all to defeat the curse left on hyrule, providing aid when needed from the experienced they claimed from their journeys. It truly is beautiful, and is, in my opinion, the most impactful song in the whole game.

I've honestly never played windwaker, terrible I know, but this theme still hit me like a deadly nadder on chicken. Like you can probably tell I was a massive how to train your dragon fan when I was younger, and this theme has the exact same feel as THE theme from HTTYD. You know the one. Both of these of a sort of lost blaze of glory feel to them, it's so bloody majestic.

Seeing one of these flying around in the depths was fucking terrifying.

Breath of the wild was my first Zelda game and I haven’t even played Wind Waker yet that feeling of epicness still comes to me

I was so hyped during this fight when I heard the callbacks

Colgera is definitely my favourite boss battle and the theme is so good!!!! ✨💫⭐️🌟

And it still makes me tear up.

I have to admit that I legitimately cried during this part of the boss battle... I wasn't prepared. I heard that Dragon Roost motif and just set the controller down.

I do love the callbacks to The Wind Waker in Tears of the Kingdom, and the Rito quest being where the WW references are clearly the heaviest, made this feel like THE climactic battle, not merely one of four chapter bosses. Part of me wishes that all of the Rito-related stories could have been somehow been sequestered away from the TotK main quest, fleshed out more, and showed up as a separate item on the main menu screen.

My heart when I was heading to this temple. Mid stream I began putting 2 and 2 together. Boats wind etc. Then Colgeras theme played dragon roost and I cried

favorite boss in the game. First temple I went to. Seriously the build up to reaching the temple, diving into the storm itself and facing this beast was a big highlight of the game. Favorite boss, dungeon, and just about perfect.

I'm happy I figured out you could dive through the weak points on my own. That experience alone was better than any of the other bosses in botw imo.

Diving through Colgera after hearing it "FOR DRAGON ROOOOST"

I remember the first time i played totk, and i was hearing all those bangers, when i got to this one i just paused and called my friend we got hyped

I was like that Andre the Giant gif, "No way! Molgera?! Dragon Roost!! What?!!!"

This was the best boss in the game by far and it had by far the most epic sound track of all of them. Nintendo plz for gods sake bring back the epic music in the next game.

At this point, Dragon Roost is just the Rito leitmotif, and I love it.

A callback to the best Zelda out there

i honestly mourn for the people who waited to get into zelda with botw. as a die-hard zelda fan this was soul changing in game. i think i musta gotten there day of or after release(i lined up early to get it and avoided spoilers like the plauge) and GOD. windwaker came out less than a year after I was born and was decently big when I got into gaming and zelda. I watched attackingtucans lets play it. i memorized lyrics to this theme. playing totk and botw felt like coming home to a world I know like the back of my hand. This theme was like hearing the game SAY "Welcome back hero, I remember you too." but also in the middle of that boss (esp as the FIRST boss if you do em in order) hit SO hard.

As someone whose first Zelda game WAS Wind Waker, this theme is extremely nostalgic for me. It takes me back to when I was just a kid, knew nothing about Zelda, and I was making my way through Dragon Roost Island with absolutely no clue what I was doing but loving every second of it. I love this theme!

Yeah, bosses have similar designs, the wind temples theme has vah medohs theme in it, as well as some flutes, a common Rito instrument, the temple looks suspiciously similar to the King of Red Lions, it all adds up

I did colgera first and was disappointed by the other bosses. I don’t care that it’s easy or you can cheese it with arrows, it’s still so climactic and fun to dive through the dragon.
