@@blackberrysoup then take a break, dont push yourself to write when you dont want to. Imo, a short chapter is better than no chapter, and even infrequent updates are better than a unfinished 1 years work. As long as you enjoy writing it, when or how much you update doesn’t really matter, despite what some commentators might say.

@@PotatoWarrior3452 lol, i posted the last chapter like, 2 weeks ago? And it was around 3.8k because I just couldn't get it to that 4k. And the last chapter came out in August. The biggest reason I think I'll drop it is because it just doesn't feel like the story is very concrete. When I had the first idea it was barely a sort of meet-cute with no real plan for what happened afterward. Of course it'd developed a bit since then, but I often find myself sitting at a document or scrolling through pinterest or even just texting my friends because I can't think of a scene that will flow properly and have enough length to it without being boring. So some days have been quite boring or discouraging. But other days have held revelations about what could happen and had me really enjoying the characters. Not to mention every chapter I post gains great responses from my readers. So I've just been writing whatever I feel like recently. I have about 3 different books open right now and I've posted 4 things in recent times. I think pushing myself to write every day, even just editing a weird sentence, has been really helping. I have a feeling this comment is incredibly long so I'll stop here haha
