Something like this: "Hey, do you want to just throw that old thing in with it? Might use it for spares or something? May as well take it off your hands while I'm here - going to another sale soon, so may not have cash later !"

Man... this is so nostalgic... I was a little collector when I was a kid in the 1980's didn't even open the boxes most of the time because I worked as a kid doing chores for neighbors to get money so I could buy them. I mostly had G1 Transformers and Ninja turtles but I also had a lot of the toys and cards you showed here, i.e The He-Man toy. Unfortunately my family had to suddenly move to Germany due to my mothers side of the family and my brother ended up selling my dog and everything in our storage due to his addictions. I never got to see any of my things again nor my dog. I know I'll never be able to regain my childhood, hold and play with my toys or my dog ever again but watching you look through these places is like digging up long lost childhood memories, diggin up some tears along with them haha. It was fun to watch. Thanks Froggy.

I used to do a lot of flea markets myself, not selling but looking. Yard sales are easier for the seller because you can just put it all out there and not have to haul it around. I travel throughout the US rather extensively for work and many of my off days I comb through antique stores looking for deals. I’m not a seller, I’m a collector and while I’m not motivated by profit occasionally I come across something that is too cheap in price and too valuable to pass up. On a recent trip to Illinois I found a massive shop located in what was at one time a train depot and spent hours there. Considering I’d flown and not driven my eye was mostly on things I could take on an airplane with me, but they had a gorgeous intact National Cash Register from 1913 I really wanted. The price was fairly accommodating compared to what it would go for where I’m from - like less than half. However, in searching high and low through the place I came across a couple of railroad stock certificates from 1908 that bore the signature of the 25th President of the US. Not a mimeograph, but a genuine signature. I did some quick internet work to compare the signatures and make sure it was legit, and bought the pair for $50. I turned around and sold them for $2200, which was enough for me to take the time to drive back out with a vehicle and purchase the register. $50 and a weekend of my time got me something that would have likely run me close to $5000 had I found it where I live.

Don't need it, put a price on it and someone will love it (or make a great buck on it :-). There's a great culture of circulating, kids clothes, bric-a-brac, some great rare stuff that would either get thrown away here, or priced way, way too high. She was only asking 25 cents for her hats, I usually sold them for $2, minimum. Because hats are at least $15, or more, when they are new. And some go as high as $50, or more. Designer hats can even sell for as much as $400. A place in California sells Chrome Hearts trucker hats for $400 to $450.

Lets appreciate how this man, takes stuff that probably would have been thrown in the trash, meanwhile supporting locals.

I've just discovered you and I'm hooked! This is my dream buying random boxes and getting in bag retro figures, I'm so envious!

My local comic shop (may it RIP 2019) had an old sticker machine selling the Garbage Pail kids stickers. The guy said they rarely sold, I never would have expected to hear it was someone’s holy grail

Omg awesome finds bro I remember years And years ago me and a friend went to a storage auction and won a unit for 200bucks and inside was loads of boxes full of 1970s action figures in original packaging that hadn't been opened. And we sold the contents for 75k it was such an amazing feeling. 👏

@@FroggyFlips it was so amazing cause everyone just thought it was a load of old boxes 📦 but my friend happened to spot something in one that looked like a toy so we took the gamble while no on else did and it paid of.

My mom found my older brothers Garbage Pail Kids cards and I was looking over them saying “Damn the 80’s were tight. This shit wouldn’t fly in the 90’s” So many of the graphics are just so badass and unique and weird that I love em already.
