When you sell your stuff at a garage sale, most normal people list the items at bargain basement prices as sellers just want to get rid of old junk as quickly as possible and make a couple of bucks. This guy and his wife were both jerks. The wife didn't say one word when she knew they had just paid her for the stuff. To top it off, the buyer offered to give him his items back and just cancel the sale. He refused and continued to berate the buyers. I hate people like that!

He just wanted to berate the buyers even though they graciously offered to give him his items back. The seller and his wife were both total jerks!

I decided not to and put it down and started to leave. As I was walking away the lady running the sale tried to accuse me of stealing it! I spun around and said I'm not a theif! Then kept walking. I still don't know where this lady thought I would hide a whole ass lamp if I was trying to steal it.

This is why I record EVERYTHING. I can't tell you how many times my conversations I have when I'm alone with people (professionals) where they deny saying what they've said and it turns into a whole gaslighting thing. Sadly, it happens so much to me I usually bring someone with me, not to keep me company but to, unfortunately, be a witness.

That could have also been a little bit of a misscomunication. 'At that price you stole it' 'it was a steal of a deal'. You paid but it was worth more. That is what the point of resalung is thought..

Yeah but you could say that about all things sold at a yard sale. That’s the whole point… the things that are no longer useful to you are sold at bargain price or “steal of a deal”. That man was just trying to cover his mistake and for his wife to sit there and let that go down is shameful. Plus, it’s the responsibility of the seller to make sure tags and prices are correct, not the people shopping. Wife could have told her it was incorrect when she paid for it. If the guy had gone about it a little nicer I would have thought it was a miscommunication but not after his flippant attitude.

I used to be a push over and I can tell you this, the older you get the less push over you’ll be. 😂 I’m 66 now and don’t let any shenanigans like that slide. Good for you! Fun watching you guys.

Personally I would have handled it more calmly especially since elderly people sometimes have mental issues that they cannot control and it's just not nice yelling at the elderly, No matter how wrong they may seem. I'm sorry that happened! I 100% know the feeling. I was accused of stealing a pacifier 25 yrs ago at a yard sale. My daughter was 1, and I was conversating with a friend. We didn't find anything of interest. As we we're leaving, a lady shout out at me asking if I was going to pay for the pacifier my daughter had. I apologized to her and told her I didn't realize she had it. As I went to hand it back she said I was using my daughter to steal, so I threw it at her. As I walked off she hit me with a hamburger. Another time I was accused of not paying for my items. I told the lady I handed her 2 $5. She opened her bag and saw the 2 $5. So I took my stuff, walked off. and lady told me to put the stuff back or she will call the police. Told her to go ahead I'm not doing anything wrong. Went to my vehicle, officer pulled up made me give stuff back and told me if I wanted to get my money back, I had to take her to small claims court. I have not gone to a yard or garage sale since.

Had a large garage sale once. I gotta say I was left gob smacked by how many items disappeared that I know were not paid for. There was a very sweet elderly couple. The wife had a big purse. Saw her slip some items in it and confronted her. That sweet old lady turned into a devil with a voice to match. It was obvious that was what they did on weekends. Rip of garage sales. I won't have another because I know I would suspect everyone. Lol

You go Kayla. I'm only 5'4", so all my life I have been the smallest in school growing up. When my dad left our family, I was 12yrs old. He always told me that dynamite comes in small pkgs, he also told me that it was time for me to start defending myself. I did all through H.S., then when I got married he turned out to mentally abusive. I felt be-littled all over again. We divorced, thank goodness. Then I met the best guy in the world, he helped me find my voice again. We've been together for 31yrs abd married for 29 yrs.🎉🎉🎉🎉 Here's to all who have learned to be heard and all who still want to b3 heard.

I think it’s great that you stood up for yourself! In my younger years I was very passive, and let too many people treat me unjustly. Then something in me snapped, and I said no longer would I just let people walk all over CB me when they were in the wrong.

It’s obvious this guy has an issue with money….can’t count correctly, can’t price stuff correctly, etc!! I don’t think ‘someone’ that wanted to rip off that item, would’ve put that $5.00 tag in that box and then left it. And I highly doubt people carry around an assortment of tags so they can match the tags at that sale to price things themselves and rip the sellers off. This guy doesn’t have any kind of rational reasoning…

That guy was a complete jerk! He has a lot of nerve accusing you of stealing it in the first place, let alone then giving a half-ass apology, then accusing you over and over of stealing it again!

Its amazing the things people will do for a dollar!! My wife always warns me, "You never know who is carrying a gun and is not right mentally" . That has kept me from a few road rage incidents!!! Glad you stood up for yourself.

Matt, always the gentleman, let you decide how you wanted to handle it and then backed you up all the way. Both of you are such a class act. Been watching both your channels for a long time, and now that your picking together the videos are even better; you two make a great team. Good for you for confronting him. I too have always acquiesced from confronting people when they Have said things that I couldn't agree or understand. You've got to stand up for yourself.
