And for all we know, humans may have better resistance against rayguns than aliens. It could be like focused electromagnetic radiation of a narrow band hurts aliens badly, and they don't understand how we use similar, if weaker, tech to get cats chasing after red dots. I'm not referencing any material of humans being space orcs, but I have read a few and I'm fond of the idea after seeing so much more about how aliens could wipe us out.

Kind of unrelated, but this just reminds me of the fact that there was a Speed Racer live-action movie, and a video game based on that movie. I have really found memories of both, but I don’t know how well they did commercially.

The question isn't 'how can a force with inferior technology beat a force with superior technology' it is 'how can a force with inferior technology beat a force with superior technology when the disparity is so vast'. There is no historical precedent for an equivalent of a knight beating an alien that can travel interstellar distances. Even a total war between the USA and North Sentinel Island today might be a fairer fight.

I mean typically I do like bad movies, such as that, or Anastasia I loved as a kid too, though I'd say Lion King, Little Mermaid, or Toy Story were my favorites, been too long not sure which one or if I bounced around those 3 (or frankly 4 Anastasia was up there too). That is in the case of animated movies... couldn't tell yo- nope Jurassic Park, loved since I watched it when I was like 4. Wouldn't call it my favorite now, especially being a franchise, I wouldn't judge as a stand alone movie even if it is the best of them all, but even then, would say Princess Bride is my favorite movie of all time as an adult.
