I’m 21 and I work downtown. Due to my work hours, I end up commuting at 8:30am and 5:30pm, aka rush hour. In all honesty, simply going through Vancouver traffic at that time of day has taught me more about human psychology than any course or textbook ever could’ve.

Yes!

The driver exiting the Metrotown parking lot and turning where prohibited is very common, as is eastbound drivers on Kingsway making U turns at the same intersection. It’s so common in fact that it’s a recommended maneuver on Google maps, illegal or not.

Agreed, the problem is that Google maps doesn't know the street signs yet people blindly follow it -_-

I had a young guy back into me on an onramp- new intersection layout and he realised he could no longer turn right- ICBC hummed and hawed for 2 months despite him fessing up. I should have had dashcam but I dunno. We all know not to go around people stopped there as they often pull a U turn, and honking may send them flying into traffic. Point is, I drive a large black truck, always with full headlights on, and STILL people just do not see me :( Victoria area has so many intersections which change on a regular basis that you just have to be super careful.

Dashcams are a must in Vancouver unfortunately because people aren't honest

I'm so surprised that your channel doesn't have way more subscribers you're one of the best channels that I watch. It'll happen.

2:30 - the security office is (or was) right near that spot, so it would not be hard to get the guy towed, or at least ticketed. 8:50 - oh THAT Metrotown exit (again).

Thanks for another great video. One of those clips was captured just up the street from me ... literally too close to home.

Has anyone else noticed how terrible drivers with BC Parks license plates are? 9 times out of 10 when I’m behind a bad driver they have one of those plates.

Ya hot wire it and drive it inside the mall and if the police complain tell them you thought it was a cart :D

At 8:16, the Jetta should’ve *sped up* when they saw the van coming at them, not abruptly stop, which risked both themself and the driver behind them.

0:58 Oh, there is a good chance they're not supposed to be driving it. Lots of potential reasons why, but they left because they probably weren't supposed to be in the driver seat to begin with.. 1:07 Anyone else expecting the Tesla (which is in the WRONG lane) to do something stupid here? I mean, more stupid than they already were... 3:04 This is F-ING chaos. What the hell is the black car doing?! "Well, I might as well pull a U-Turn right.. here." 4:26 Dash cam driver is clearly giving them an IN, yet the SUV is STILL not sure what to do. Wow. 5:16 I practically had this from TWO directions at the same time this morning. Of course, it snowed last night here so "quick, everyone forget how to drive." 5:53 Even though one's a sedan and one's a coupe, I bet this was a super confusing police report. 6:12 Assuming they made contact and exchanged info, that guy won't be laughing when their insurance company sees the video. 6:19 Not only unacceptable, but should result in them being given their license back after they take a road rest. Obviously that driver is part of the #MeFirst movement. 7:43 This may be one of my biggest dislikes when it comes to driving. People who drive across all the parking lot stalls, because FK you to everyone around them, right? Again, part of the #MeFirst movement. Oh, and this is where I get out of my car and absolutely INSIST they back up.

I feel like they should put giant signs in the shopping cart area saying not to park here

8:14, Van should start pay attention on the traffic lights and the cars in front of them! Otherwise, he will end up in a crash and he will be fault for it for not listening to the safety rules on the road.

1:48 Actually Vancouver bylaws require that you walk single file and as far to the right as possible. It is the same in a crosswalk.

Just because the driver was blaming Bryce for not yielding when Bryce had his signal on, doesn’t mean that the driver can cut him off and be an I for it! If you have your turn signal on, you let them in instead of being rude and not show respect to the drivers.

There are times when it's more prudent to keep going instead of slowing or stopping to let someone in with a turn signal. Whether I let someone in with a turn signal depends on various factors. I don't drive to be nice, I drive to be predictable, practical and safe. Slowing or stopping to let someone in can make the situation infinitely more dangerous in some cases.
