When We Feel Guilty - Dr. Charles Stanley

Are you haunted by past sins or weighted down by feelings of guilt? Charles Stanley teaches if you are a child of God, the fact is, He doesn't even remember your sins anymore. When you listen to this encouraging message, 'When We Feel Guilty,' you'll be reminded of Christ's sacrifice for your sins and the true freedom that is yours to live your life without guilt.
This message is part of the series "The Source of My Strength."

Dude, you gotta wake up. This was the most horrible message in the world. The Lord is vomiting go and listen to Minutes 12 through 14… It’s nothing more than a made up lie. I don’t know anywhere anybody preaches without grace… This message was straight from the devil you don’t have to repent… Only a demon would preach something like that and it’s actually Metanoia change of mind… Open up your Bible be better to go to Bible Gateway and look at amplified classic edition unless you have your Greek Bible and a concordance there but I’m doubting it Matthew 4:17, Mark six, seven through 13 Luke 13, one through five , Acts 2:38 Matt 11:20-24

Matt 4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach, crying out, Repent (change your mind for the better, heartily amend your ways, with abhorrence of your past sins), for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. 11:20-24 Luke 13:1-5 Luke 13 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition 13 Just at that time there [arrived] some people who informed Jesus about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mixed with their sacrifices. 2 And He replied by saying to them, Do you think that these Galileans were greater sinners than all the other Galileans because they have suffered in this way? 3 I tell you, No; but unless you repent ([a]change your mind for the better and heartily amend your ways, with abhorrence of your past sins), you will all likewise perish and be lost eternally. 4 Or those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them-do you think that they were more guilty offenders (debtors) than all the others who dwelt in Jerusalem? 5 I tell you, No; but unless you repent (change your mind for the better and heartily amend your ways, with abhorrence of your past sins), you will all likewise perish and be lost eternally. Acts 2:38, 17:30 2 Cor 7:8-13 2 Cor 5:16-17

😞 It deeply saddens me that you seem so confused here. Please pray for clarity from God. I truly believe you are missing the point and being deceived. The message here is that repentance is a RESULT of placing trust in Christ and His death and resurrection. Then baptism follows. These two choices do not grant salvation, but rather derive from it. They are sequels of God's grace. This means we make different choices as a CONSEQUENCE of believing; therefore, reflecting our changed heart. The new heart God gives is what CAUSES repentance. It spurs us on to baptism and desiring to outwardly express the incredible change God has done within the heart. Otherwise, John 3:16 would be meaningless. Do you understand ? Proclaiming with our mouth and believing in our heart that Jesus is Lord and died for our sins is the FIRST STEP. Similarly, 'Faith without works is dead,' does not mean we work to earn salvation. God's grace, through faith, which is a gift in itself from God, is what brings salvation. Nothing WE do (other than making the choice to believe) will result in salvation. I will be praying this makes sense to you~ that God reveals limpidity. 🙏🏽

That is one of the best sermons Dr. Stanley ever gave. For someone like me who was walking in the spirit and then reverted to rebellion it gives hope and assurance that God has forgiven me for those blunders and welcomes me back into fellowship with him. "God delights in fixing us" is a wonderful assurance. Instead of worrying about God saying..."Sorry, ace, you blew it and I don't want anything to do you with you anymore", God says..."I forgive you. Now, let me show you how I can straighten everything out for you and we can be close once again." Praise the Lord for this blessed message.

Sometimes it might seem necessary to do over and over and over. But He will do it !! 🙌🏽 EVERY TIME. At the sound of Jesus' name, satan runs. Amen !! 🙏🏽

Beginning of the video Dr. Stanley talks about feeling guilty *without* having sinned. But about halfway (15:22) into the video he starts to address feeling guilty when it *is* from sin. (In case anyone came here looking specifically for advice on that). There is another video for anyone needing a little more of Dr Stanley’s advice on this particular subject in a video titled “Understanding Those Guilty Feelings.” It’s very similar in message. But if you just needed to hear a little more about this, it’s also a good one to watch. God Bless Dr Stanley. I’m grateful for all spiritual mentors in my life like him who help me understand our relationship with God. I wish I could’ve thanked him in person for all he has done for me before he passed away.

Ohh! SAME father issues(soul wounds) as Dr. Stanley! From very early on! I’m understanding more the Lord’s grace and amazing love, but it’s baby steps y’all and quite slow! Praising God for His patience, love, grace, and mercy.💛🕊️💛
