I'll tell you what I think, Oliviera had already lost to Justin and Chandler, but these two fighters are not perfect fighters like Islam, he came and broke him, and before that Oliviera was rising a lot, but Islam brought him down by he strangled him, and in the end he turned out to be the biggest wretch, thank you Islam for this fight, now Oliviera is saying how the match should have been played in Brazil, NOTHING WOULD HAVE CHANGED, THOSE PEOPLE SHOULD BE GLAD IN THE DEAR ALLAH, THEY FEAR NO ONE BUT GOD.

WRONG, Khabib was more famous than anyone except for Conor, but Dana didn't give him a shot cuz he would say "Allahu akbar" and such infront of millions of people, Dana was scared he would ruin the UFC but little did he know that at that time there were 1.8 Bio. Muslims (2.1 Bio. today) who would support him and make the UFC bigger and that's exactly what happened.

Old heads remember lightweight fights carrying UFC events before there was ever a 145, 135 or 125 division. It's always been the biggest division, numbers and talent wise. Go 12-0 and you can fight for the MW or LHW or HW title. Go 12-0 at LW and you still might not get a chance on the DWCS.

When Oliveira said"i'll kill this guy" all his fans said oooow it was a savage And when Makhachev said "i'll take him down" or "speak english" Oliveira and his fans said it was arrogance like wtf

This wasn't even trash talk. This was a masterclass of what MMA is. The accuracy of the standup from a fighter regarded to have trash Muay Thai, the wrestling which apparently Oliveira was supposed to be capable of handling and most importantly, the proof that if Sambo was easy it would indeed be called Jui-Juitsu. I remember when 77 people selected Charles Oliveira to win vs the mere 16 on the ESPN channel that leaned towards Islam. I remember when 80% of you were saying that Charles was going to knock Islam spark out in the first round. We can agree to disagree, but this was the most clinical title-winning performance in UFC history.

What made this fight matter to me was how people tried to use this to attack khabib’s legacy. Saying that he’s not the real goat and that he was running away from Charles Oliviera. I felt that was disrespectful and now everyone is humbled

The fact that ppl were discrediting Islam was funny, he won the title for 11 win streak, even Charles Oliveira didn't have to do that, everybody was dodging him, he struggled to find a fight.. which is the exact same reason why it took khabib so many years to get his title defense. The fight was clean, and they fulfilled the prophecy, finish in round 2 as khabib said .

First of all there were no 2 camps split thing, it was literally everyone of you against Team khabib that tried everything to discredit and disrespect the man . 2nd , I don't know what trash talk is in your vocabulary, because this was pure confidence from a man who has spent his entire life fighting . Not trash talk, that just full confidence and trust. Khabib know Islam's level because he trained with him his whole live.

The hardest thing in ufc for respectful fighters like Khabib, Islam and Charles is promoting/ selling the fight and this was basically what they were doing. They're not natural like some other fighters but they're doing their best.

there is no trash talk just speak about their confidence about their own skill.

Is it trash talk to say a guy who's taken x amount of Ls will take another one? That a he'll knock down the guy who gets knocked down every fight? That he has the ability to follow him to the ground and finish him, because he's better? It was rational even before the result.

Charles Olivera said he will shock the world. Boy he did shock the world by tapping like a chicken .

What they were saying wasn't trash talk, it was confidence. Islam and team were highly appreciative of Charles' skillset but they were displaying confidence that Islam can beat him. It's not as if Charles was silent tho. Dude came in with "I'll kill his team" and "I'll kill this guy."

Charles fast realized Islams strenght and skills .He was afraid to trade on feet and try submission. When Islam landed on him ,there was no JiuJitsu trick to try , it was quick tap. This is the most disrespectful comment I have ever seen. Khabib beats #11 journeyman raging Al and is the lightweight champion but Charles beats 3x Bellator world champion Chandler (who had already twice beaten, once finished 3x UFC lightweight champion Henderson and finished UFC lightweight champion Alvarez) and Khabib, who retired (rightfully so, given his family situation), meaning nobody else could fight him for the belt, 'let Charles borrow the belt for Islam to have, I don't think he was ever the champion'? I'm makhachev fans. i always say about this in multiple comment to calm down the situation, but some dont understand how UFC works.. this is UFC, not pure sport but include business and entertainment.. Trash talk just to promote the fight as khabib said. So can attract more view and money too. The boss, UFC , Dana love that... Fighters get benefit too Trash talk accepted in UFC, just keep between the fighters, and not cross the line such as country, religion and family.. Khabib know how UFC works. He always do trash talk when he fight, people seem forget that, just accused khabib hypocrite for being humble.. So Khabib teach his team mates how to market themself, how to speak.. firstly start with learn and speak english...

His team was kind of arrogant tbh but it was more so superior confidence and they felt just as disrespected cause both Khabib n Islam were avoided for so long by top 10 guys and champions. It came to the point they had to learn English and promote themselves Do bronx did it w/o English off just pure playing the long game and getting red hot being at the right place at the right time when the real champ Khabib decided to retire. Bro I was so confident that Oliveira was going to win, but I really shouldn't have underestimated Islam. His striking was way more accurate than I or anyone for that matter was expecting, and he held his own and beat Oliveira's Jiu Jitsu *(but i mean what should i have expected from Khabib's protégé)*. Masterclass from Islam, I would love to see a rematch

Yeah when I was sports betting, why was oliviera is like 2.5 and islam 1.5, so the oddsmakers were into islam and like who the fuck is this guy, he never beats any top contender at all, and yeah i bet my $$$ to oliviera. Yo I just noticed this insane detail, whenever Charles got rocked he would fall to his back. In a guard position, that is what happend when Islam hit him clean he dropped back in guard. And Islam is different from his other opponents and just finished the fight from that position.

I love Islam’s one liners 😂 he entertains me before the fight and he entertains me during the fight.

This is the reason Charles was never in a GOAT talk like khabib..he almost always got dropped in his fights while khabib was always dominating his opponents. Islam just proved every haters wrong. Now, everyone who fought Islam are not just nobody. They are someone who dared to fight the champion.

Honestly, Charles is still in the GLOAT talk. The one thing Khabib did better during his title run than Charles was get dropped and have 3 defences to Charles' 2. But all it is, is that Khabib has an iron chin, a natural gift. But did he have the head movement, the defensive skills? No. He was taking identical shots as Charles from Gaethje/Poirier etc. it's simply that Charles is chinny. Other than that? Oliveira KO'd 3x Bellator world champion Chandler for the belt (who had already twice beaten, once finished 3x UFC lightweight champion Henderson and finished UFC lightweight champion Alvarez) while Khabib fought #11 journeyman Raging Al to a decision. And Oliveira finished Poirier and Gaethje, 2/3 of Khabib's title reign, in quicker time, dismantling Gaethje better than anyone including Khabib (again, only doing worse in getting knocked down unlike Khabib, but remember, Khabib took the same exact shots, he just has the chin to keep standing, but it wasn't through trained skills like head movement or defensive work). And let's not forget how he dominated Tony Ferguson, one sided, in under 3 weeks preparation, Khabib's arch nemesis who he never fought. Oliveira is 100% still in the GLOAT talk.

I KNEW Oliveira's "turtle on it's back" defense would be his complete undoing with Makhachev. He's used it countless times, and where other fighters have been intimidated by it, opting to ALLOW Oliveira to stand back up, I knew if he DARE tried that defense with Islam... it'd be GAME OVER!!! First round, Islam was kicked HARD in the face by Oliveira in that "turtle on it's back" pose (that's just what I call it 😂) and yet in Round 2, he still chose to fearlessly dive back on top of Oliveira in that pose, and that surprised Oliveira. He knew it was over then.
