This is why I don’t care if McGregor loses for the rest of his career, or just straight retires (which I think he should’ve done). The sport will forever be indebted to him for that. Not all destinies are the same. Not everyone from the same herd is meant to have similar endings. But that doesn't makes them any bad. Maybe Conor wasn't meant to be the greatest UFC fighters of all time in terms of record and track record. But he definitely is The greatest fighter who didn't just raised UFC but transcended the sport of mixed martial arts to a global level. He was born for it. And what's more is that there is no other person in the league besides him. Because you need only 1 individual to push the game like that. It's no joke ever since Conor stepped in the UFC, whether he fights or not, everyday the UFC has grown more interesting and great. Period. There's a lot of iffs and buts and toxicity that he bought with him but that's a product of the person not the sport. We all have our share of evil and it's just how you handle them. At this point I just pray and hope that he retires happily with no regrets. No obvious bad blood, no grudge. Just want to see him be happy in his career, give some of his old folks, like Tony/Max etc that big red panty night and wrap up when he wishes to.

@@Rogerb21 Nah, I was a Conor fan and was because dude literally stooped to some fucked up levels but the guy is done, his drive and passion is all gone. He tries to act like he still has the drive and passion but it's all a façade for the world and for himself, he's trying to convince himself that he can keep up with the level of these guys but he can't. I think he beats Chandler sure but even then Chandler cracks hard and withstood a lot of punishment from Gaethje who possibly hits harder than Conor or just about the same, the damage he does to guy's faces is just brutal, Conor doesn't have that type of punishing power. 50/50 for him beating Chandler, 50/50 because if Chandler lands clean on Conor there's a good chance he gets dropped badly, I mean Poirier proved that Conor can be KO'd. I think Conor loses to Gaethje because Gaethje will do what Poirier did and just set up leg kicks and destroy Conor's legs worse than Poirier did and then Gaethje will just go in for the kill. Conor has has nothing to offer anymore for these Top 5 guys. Either he sets up a big trilogy with Nate or moves back down to 145 since I think he was one of the best 145ers and could possibly still reign there especially with his power. I like to think that in a alternate universe Conor is an all around great fighter. Has amazing grappling, wrestling, and BJJ along with his technical striking skills and power and is just dominating 145 and 155 and possibly catching some wins in Welterweight (not being a champ though). Only we MMA fans can wish thats the path Conor went down but it is what it is.
