My mother makes Stainglass windows using a tile grout. So she Uses old windows. Instead of leaving those pieces of glass and ornate pottery, why not keep them and grout a six pane window with them? Call it “a window into the past“ I collected Seaglass from all over Scotland and England for that very purpose. Beautiful

when I first found your channel, a year or so ago, I binge watched. It was so refreshing to not have to listen to curse words and my granddaughter even started watching with me. Back then Eddie was on a lot more and we enjoyed both of you very much. As time marches on, you have matured and the quality of your videos are outstanding. The photography shots, what scenery you are allowed to show and your knowledge of area and items you find make you the number one metal detecting channel. Thanks for sharing all you do!

Many years ago, a friend of my father found a 1.2 carat diamond wedding ring at the bottom of a pond that was a popular swimming hole in the 1930s and 40s. He posted a photo of the ring in a local news paper, with the words, "is this your ring". A couple days later he got a call from a woman in her 80s who said she lost that ring while swimming in that pond. He took the ring to her house, where she made him tea, then showed him a photo of her husband in his Army Uniform, and another photo of that very ring on her finger from the day he proposed to her. He was proud to re-unite her with that ring that must have meant so much to her. Every little thing we find has a story.

Nicely done. Really enjoy the calm demeanor, music and archeological aspect of you posts. I'm always curious of the stuff we find, what is it, why is it here, who's was it and the stories behind it. Heck, the research is almost as fun as the find. Keep up the good work.

Most of these things were someone's possession! Even when a button fell off a piece of clothing, it was probably made a long time prior. And thank you for cleaning out modern day trash. I never understand why people continue to discard trash after a lot of conservationist projects to protect our lands and oceans. Thanks again!

I suspect it is a jacket and remains of a FMJ round that has hit a rock or sting hard, some of the old timers before soft nose bullets were a thing would pull the bullet turn the bullet around and reload it. Possibly an old 30/06 to make them hollow point with big expansion on impact for hunting.

Brad, I found lots of buttons in Maryland back in the 60s. 1960s I mean, when I was a kid. They were made of oyster shell, had 2 small holes. Found many, many square, hand made nails. Found old tools made by blacksmiths. In one stone lined cellar hole I found over 100 brass tokens. They were hand stamped J.K.S. and were in various shapes and denominations. 3 was a small round one. Larger ones were hexagonal or wavy edged and in denominations of 5, 10, 25, 50 and 100. I saw 25 of them for sale on ebay a couple years ago, with my hand written note included. The seller was in America and not only would not allow me (living in a foreign country) to bid, also would not accept any emails from me. I had a friend in the states lay a snipe bid for me, but it was too small. I gave away all that stuff before I moved away.

I didn't realize how little I knew of Vermont..he had worked at Mt Snow at a ski resort..had no clue there were mountains you can ski..More familiar with the Rocky mountains..he passed away 3 years ago.. always spoke how beautiful Vermont is..I miss him.. pretty sure he would also love your channel..got rid of any satellite or cable pay type services can afford it..only stream KZread mostly.. neither one of us realized what was available just through streaming KZread ..I know he would have loved your channel..I enjoy seeing how beautiful the area is he often spoke about..my grandson has one of those metal detectors.. have to bug him to take me to look for the things people have lost ..the story behind simple things means the most..have searched the river banks and have found china doll heads..kids play tea set..old bottles etc.. Never metal detecting..love how even a button is exciting!.. feel your passion for history
