Sifting Sand And Water For Cold Spring Treasures
Ойын-сауық
Join me as I explore this old spring house and limestone spring. In this video I dig up portions of gravel and rocks and sift them out in the hopes of finding some old artifacts like buttons or coins.

I love the way you talk to us, like we're right there with you. You keep me smiling. Thanks
I really admire your style in history hunting. I'm close to 80 years old and have enjoyed all the excitement of the hunt. I started the pursuit of history 40+ years ago and your channel brings back many exciting memories. Your history differs from my history, but any thing over a 100 years, is history. While the Civil War was in progress in your area the Military/Indian Wars was in full swing here in my area and I have been blessed with many artifact from that war. I'm donating all my artifacts to our local museum A lot of people are not old enough, but back in the day a covered corn in a box was called Cracker Jacks and a prize was put into the box. Treasure hunting is like a box of Cracker Jacks, you don't know what prize your getting until you dig the detected object. Searching for history is the most relaxing, enjoyable, and educating hobby in my book. I do understand how few people can ruin the hobby for others by disrespecting land owners property. Regards from Wyoming.
I love people like this, especially the way he talks to us as if we were there, brings a whole new meaning to watching him, it’s like your his little apprentice!
Man I just enjoy this mr chigg, such easy and fun watching. You do an amazing job with your vids and just seem genuinely like a really nice guy. Same as meMiner. Just good peoples. Thanks for all your sharing 👍

You have the curiosity of a 12 year old, I really like that about you and you channel. Keep up the good work!
Great to see you back Beau, what an awesome little piece of history to have on your land. I’ve lived in some rural places in Scotland and Northwest England and springs are amazing places to find, dig away the moss or unblock the mud pool and you’ll almost always find stone steps or platforms...find that and stand in the footsteps of your forefathers. All the best Peace Charlie UK 🇬🇧
I love this channel so much! I love the way you speak to the viewer! Like the part when you said "hold your breath" It made me immediately hit the subscribe button! Thanks for your amazing content!!!
Its good to let people see that it isn’t always certain you find something! Maken no differents...... Stil fun to watch and good for learning! Thanks Greetings from the Netherlands! 💪

I like it when you have fun. Say, "hooman"!
Great to see your back with prime content
I'm a rock hound so the rocks and pottery interested me! I would love to have this beautiful stream on my property. Hope you find what you're interested in, Chigg.
Awesome as always chig thank you
Thank god a good video
Glad to have found you, a very likable guy. Thanks so much for sharing those underwater views, great fun. I like your tenacity, that’s how things are found. New subscriber ❣️
Any way it’s great to see a video from you buddy GOD BLESS.
Wish my spring was that cool and ran as hard as yours does. Right now, mine it's just a very good place to get a lawn mower stuck.
You have the best videos. Thanks for sharing
Glad to see ya back Chigg
Thanks for taking the time to share! Your videos are always full of information and interesting.
What a magical place!
We used to have a natural spring and well house over it like this one, when I was a kid.The Indians also camped on it forever.I dug test holes like you did and found my best luck was about twenty to thirty feet away on the low side of the creek. I found arrowheads, hide scrapers and the like. I always wanted to go back to that spot but the place sold long ago. They have since rerouted the stream into a pond and removed all signs of the old original spring house.Your in-laws place always reminds me of the good memories of that farm of my chilldhood days. Thanks so much for sharing it Beau. I'm feeling much better this morning.
Finally!!! A new video!!!!
I seen 3 gold coins, 1 buckle, 14 bullets, and rock. Then realized I held my breath for too long. Lol. Seems like a good spot anyway

I enjoyed that.

Glad to see your channel grow so much Beau. Been watching since the beginning. Look forward to the next one!
Great video as always
If you ever get the chance, you ought to come out to western Montana or northern Idaho and do some gold panning and some abandoned silver mine detecting. It's gorgeous land around here (but I'm sure you'd rather be home right now)
Excellent video chigg!! Love it! Great finds.
You remembered your gloves! You get a Gold Star!
Thanks for sharing Chigg! Glad you’re back. Happy Hunting! ~ Gypsy
I had heard the term "springhouse" before but never knew what it was or what it was for. Thanks for sharing,

I am always so envious of the clear water you have over there, it's all muddy and dark around here.
Hope it was a warm day. Those springs usually are right stinking cold. We used them to chill watermelons.
We ♡ Chigg.
Nice spring creek. Interesting history. ~ Texas
Love the vids chig keep up the great work
Very pretty area.
GREAT VIDEO ENJOYED KEEP THEM COMING
keep it up looks great
I've been hunting arrowheads and bird parts and carvings since I was 9 and I'm in my fifties so I have a lot of pieces and full birds I have too
Love that spring, and Milk House. I could just sit and listen to the water gurgle to itself. Such a lovely place. You've inspired me to try dropping a Go Pro down our tile lined dug well. Probably won't be much to see, but you never know!
GOLD!!!!
Chigg is back!!!
Loved it! Go back when you have a chance!
Very cool! I've dug out a spring in the panhandle of Florida a decade ago, and the artifact layer was almost 2ft deep, you're likely to have to go much deeper chig!
GOLD! I SMELLS IT WEARS THE PIN POINTER.
I'm just so happy to be here in the land of the living to watch this Chigg. I had emergency surgery last Wednesday. Seems my gallbladder, according to the surgeon, had died and turned black. He removed it and I am back home recovering and thanking God for his mercies. This was so nice to watch and fun to search for things in the gravel with you. I am sure you will find more after the gravel has dried. I used to look for arrowheads a lot and would dump my tailings in aa highspot to dry and look through the again later. Sometimes that is all it takes to find them.

You poor thing! Awful things gallbladders when they decide to go bad. It must have been very frightening, I wish you a safe and quick recovery and hope you never have anything so awful again. I was watching Beau during my annual bout of pneumonia- wishing to be outside & just breathing, let alone holding it on & off... get well soon, or even sooner🌹🌻🦋

Maxwell, A second or so after he said that, I did a bit of a "What the bleep?" Then immediately I remembered it was the Chigg and this is to be expected. Cowboys used saddles for a pillow, Sheepherders used bunches of wool to lay their head on and The Chigg, well he uses a Shovel for a cushion. Why Not, I ask? : ) He said it would be just like a cushion.

a nice place to use a small dredge and clean out a open area for fish to live
I think the real treasure is the spring itself. Would sure like to have it in my backyard!
At 7:13 on the 5:30 line there is a greyish green stone of what looks like chert or flint that might be a big flake or something like a skinning knife. Looks to be worked. Great video.

We have had a bunch of rain here in the Eastern Panhandle.... I'm looking to do some digging in the Tuscarora, it's to high and dirty. I expect the spring had a spot dug out "Back when" A bathtub for those 110 degree summer days, A quick dip before bed. Stop raining, a quick hard freeze, Indian Summer and the creek.
Chiggs looking for the inlaws buried gold,,cant fool us🙂
You need a suction dredge with a screen. My son and I saw a white agate arrowhead in a stream above Susanville, Oregon and he now has it in his collection.
