At 72 and having loved and raised 12 dogs, two years ago a small black kitten wandered into my workshop and decided that I was now his!! He was dehydrated and very hungry. Trip to the vet for distemper and rabies shots and I took him home. The wife say's "I am allergic to cats". He now weighs 18 lbs and is the coolest friend I have! Researched and found out he is an American Bombay. P.S. Caught the wife playing peek a boo on the stairs the other night. Love is!

I've been wishing a kitten would find me.

Our cat Jackson just turned 18 years old. We raised him from a kitten. We adore him, and he makes us smile and happy for all those years. He is just part of the family. He is really old but still plays well and eats well. He will be sorrowfully missed when he leaves us! ❤

On April 7th, I rescued a kitten who was clinging to the underside of a car in a parking lot. It took the help of 8 people and 3-1/2 hours for me to grab her by the back leg and get her in a carrier. I took her to the vet the next day and was told she was 8 to 9 weeks old and weighed 2.0 lbs. She's a pale grey tabby with a lovely strand of pearls around her neck and spots on her tummy. I named her Hope because I rescued her from a hopeless situation. 💕

I adopted my cat from a shelter when she was 8. She had been there for months and I couldn’t understand why no one had wanted her. She was the most beautiful animal I had ever seen with taupe and midnight brown stripes on her back, a beige belly with sharply contrasted dark spots and piercing aqua green eyes. I held her once and I knew we had a special bond, despite never having been a cat person per se (I didn’t think cats liked me). She was scared and underweight when I brought her home. I didn’t force affection or even attention from her. I just spoke to her softly, fed her consistently at the same times everyday, and waited patiently with no expectations. She gradually started approaching me and when my husband was in the room (or anyone else), she would nuzzle herself under my arm and peek out. I was her safe space and that was just fine with me. As weeks went by, she would spend less and less time under the bed. She began nuzzling her head on my face, “talking” to me (her meow legit sounds like “hello” ☺️), running to greet me at the back door when I would get home, and sleeping in her safe space under my arm at night. She is now 13 and my family calls her my shadow because she is always by my side. Luna is healthy, happy, and sleeps on my pillow with her face touching mine every night. She hasn’t needed to hide under my arm for a long time but she knows I will always be her safe place. It’s truly a love like no other and I hope everyone gets to be a cats “person” at least once in their lives. ❤

Penny was dropped off for rehoming at 12 because her people had got divorced and neither of them wanted her. I went looking for a companion for my 17 year old. She was the first cat I stopped at and I took her with me. She got on great with harley and after Harley died just shy of 18, she got 2 backyard kittens friendly and got me replacements. I still have one, she turns 9 this year.

I rescued a mama and her four 2 days old kittens. They just turned one years old! All are inside safe and loved dearly. All vaccinated, neutered and spayed. One boy...I named him Klaus after frontman of Scorpions. They bring me so much joy. Very loving towards each other...and me.❤

Best thing I ever did! My little buddy is my bff.

Universe sent me a moma cat than she gave me her kitten. We kept them both what a wonderful gift from the universe. Tickle and Tuffy have been with me now 4 weeks and I am very happy. My 19 year old cat is dying of cancer. Rascal has excepted them and has change him he is much happier aswell. Don’t know how long Rascal has but he seems better with my gifts from the universe. Peace to all cat lovers. 😊

@@missg.5940 As your weekend on call customer service representative, my advice is to put several small bowls of dry cat food at various locations on your property. If you live in an apartment, there are many fur babies, both in rescues and animal controls, that desperately need emergency relocation, if you’re willing to step up to this. Be warned though. Acquiring the care of a feline persuasion can often lead to multiple visits from other felines. As a local representative and foster person for numerous fur babies over the last several years, there is great satisfaction in this branch of the CDS. Rescues cover the care and feeding of temporary residents. However, if you happen to fall for one… or two….or more, rescues would be happy if you foster failed. Though they’d really prefer if you leave a spot or two open for more fosters. I’m on a temporary furlough due to health issues. Once my surgeries are done, my neonatal kitten and puppy intensive care unit will be put into action. I’m a retired critical care practitioner who worked in a variety of ICU and ER settings. So I’ll be able to use my knowledge in a new fashion. Good luck with your hunt for the perfect fur baby.

Im hoping the Universal cat distribution system lost my address. For years it kept sending us pathetic kittens, that we nursed back to health and sometimes we would find then homes , but we ended with 5 cats. Not so bad. Well recently we lost 2 cats so we are down to 3. I’m afraid the Uni.CatDisSysr. Well send is replacements. But we really don’t need more small fury things, we have recently (1.5yrs)rescued 3 bunnies 🐰 🐰 🐰.

I've always loved how kind Turkish people are to animals in general. How you treat animals says a lot about a culture.

First I saw him staring at me from a wall, a beautiful tiny panther, purring, enjoying a fuss, who then jumped down and proceeded to rub against my legs, cleverly scenting me as part of his property! 😺 Then he boldly walked into my house and explored downstairs! 😺 Then I started putting a covered, insulated box outside for him because he was left out at night 😺 Then it got colder, and I became more concerned 😺 Then one night I opened the door and called "Woody! Come on!" And out of the box he crawled, walked into my house - and it became his home! 😺❤

Cats are splendid companions. Soft, purry and self feeding and cleaning. EZ PZ..❤

Open a dumpster, and hear a little cry ...... A nurse who lived on my complex climbed in as he was considerably taller than 5' me lol. She was only 3 weeks old and in poor condition. I hand raised her. She has lived in the States (where she was born), Singapore, and finally returned home with me to the UK ..... Now 18 and slowing up a bit.

You are very blessed to be chosen by that gorgeous cat!!!❤

I'll never forget when one night the week of 9/11 I opened my front door to cool off the house when 2 kittens out of nowhere just moved on in. They were both a few months old, but still so tiny. A male and a female. A week later another darted across the street and right into our car. Several weeks later the kittens started to gain weight quickly and became plump and happy. The two females seemed to be getting much olumper than the male. Then one night I walked into my room to one of them crying, and crying and crying... She was giving birth to 12 baby kitties.. as this was happening, under my nephews crib, the other female kitten was giving birth to a litter of 12 of her own. We went from having zero kitties, to 27 in a matter of weeks 😂😭. I didn't get sleep for a month because both mommies chose me and my bed every single night to nest in. I moved them into their individual boxes every night before bed, but by the time I had to be up in the morning, my bed was full of fluffy kittens with the mini zoomies.

What is cat distribution? I want to keep all my cats. I love them so much. They follow me everywhere and they love me. I've been a cat person all my 67 years and it's breaking my ❤ that I may have to give some of them up. Can anyone help me with some information about this please

That first clip happened to me as well.

Grew up with 2 cats. They lived well into their 20s. Miss them every day. Of course no cat could replace them. But hopefully the universe puts a cat in my path.

5:50 literally happened to me as a teen. My wall already had a section that looked like someone punched in a big section of it though, so I only had to remove that out to get the cat out.

I have a handful of indoor cats now but hope such encounters with new felines never happen to me once I'm in my 60s. Simple reason is I live alone with no one else to help - I may not live long enough to see the new kitten/cat to the end.

I came upon a kitten while I was out partying with a friend. Put it in the car and went into the club. When we came out we heard another kitten meowing as to say I saw you take my sister and your not going to leave without me . Wasn’t the plan for me take them both but I did . The boy unfortunately fell from my terrace and broke his back legs . Took him to the vet where they said they would insert splints and he would be fine. Sadly he didn’t make it through the anesthesia. Me and his sister are still heartbroken .Had him only for about 7 months but he had an impact on me and everyone who met him ❤
