I'm so glad that the Finals in 2021 were Bucks vs. Suns instead of Lakers vs. Nets. Why? Because that allowed the NBA to go from modeling around superteams to understanding that you need all of the elements to win it all. Great coaching, team chemistry, quality depth, a superstar that's homegrown, a great supporting cast around him, and an excellent front office. If the Bucks proved it, then Golden State proved it the next year, and Denver the year after.

It would have been Warriors vs. Cavs all over again, and the only way that any player without a ring would win a title is if they joined LeBron or KD. Plus there would be no such thing as parity in the NBA. Thank goodness that never happened, especially considering that Giannis and Jokic would be ringless and no longer with their respective teams if it did.

I wouldn't blame Ayton too much. I don't think anyone on any other team was going to lock down Giannis during the Finals that year.

Now if it was the other way around with CP3 and Book being injured, the Suns fans would be crying about that. Like the Clippers, they think they're all that just for beating the Lakers but it's OK. Giannis and the Bucks took care of them in the finals. Last year, it was Luka. This recent season, it was Jokic. This season is to be determined. As a Lakers fan, I hope we face them in the playoffs. If not us, then someone else can get rid of them.

The Suns won Game 1, and were leading Game 4 when AD got injured. Its the same crap that Nets fans bring up. The momentum was shifting before the injuries happened because Frank Vogel like Steve Nash in Brooklyn was getting tactically spanked since those two made no adjustments to either team's playstyle. Maybe not Vogel, but Nash definitely didn't change up his defense to limit Giannis or Middleton.
