Gimme an aztec water game please

around the 5 min time stamp, he wasn't trying to wall. he was trying to deny aions dock foundation placement. he first blocks it with the explorer then aion drops the wall then soldier drops the single pillar so aion couldn't fit a dock placement near his own. underrated play.

Soldier on top of his game in this one. Well played. The most important card for Inca to upgrade the Chimus is the 1k Gold shipment. That is what makes Chimus absolutely terrifying. Had Kynesie prioritized that card over the others, he may as well have been able to clean up Soldier's army as they take down Hussars, Bows and pretty much everything except pikes and goons.

kynesie play style is the main reason for the nerf of the walls from 3k hp to 1,5k and most of the water cards. it is no joke lol..

A masterclass in how to play against a water-focused opponent on a hybrid map. Excellent play by SoldieR.

I would love to see a series similar to t90's low elo legends where he looks at players who are average elo all the way down to the lowest elo he can find. He does aoe2 but I imagine the same thing can be done for aoe3. It's a very funny series that's also incredibly helpful for a new players as a comparison point because the low elo players will be constantly making mistakes the pros will never make. That way you can talk about common mistakes and what should be done instead

I honestly think there was room to mix in some grenadiers. Yes, they don't have improved grenades in Age II any more, but there was a need for some siege and a hell of a lot of exposed buildings when Kynesie had just a handful of jungle bowmen.

@@lolslayer58 Grenade Launcher's shit too. The only card that's any good for grenadiers is the old (pre-DE) Improved Grenades... you could have something like 87-109 siege in colonial. The card is now nerfed to all hell and shifted to industrial, it's ridiculous. Why are grenadiers even in the game at all? All improved grenades does is turn them into weak, very expensive skirms with high but not high enough siege to justify their 2 population cost. But the point here is that grenadiers were perfect for all the exposed buildings on kynesie's left side. Soldier had enough units already to hold kynesie's army easily, the problem was that he was using hussars (more expensive but with much lower siege). It wasn't a situation where Soldier had to worry about pulling them out in a hurry since they'd be destroying the infrastructure kynesie needed to train units to attack them with. In this game, they had a use,.

If he moved his firepit to the water he could have danced a lot more. Now he just idles his dancers and the northern farmers. I wonder if that could have pulled him back into the game.

Ken had the water but the soldier had the TPs. It would have been nice if you glanced now and then at Soldier's eco to see how things were going for him rather than just focusing purely on the fight.

Soldier did the right thing by not going full on water and opting for more land and all the TPs. I think he should have aged earlier to get falconets and veteran units, but later on the falconets were very good, even though 7 may have been overkill.

I like these longer games.

I love AoE and i main inca but i'll still get smashed ranked and don't know why.

A very large fraction of your fans probably prefer to play team games rather than 1v1. I suggest that you 1) poll your fans to see whether they primarily play 1v1 or team games, and 2) if a sizable fraction play team games, consider diversifying your content to cast more team games, talk about more team strategy, etc. In particular, talk about what makes team games different than a bunch of 1v1s.

I think a very large fraction of the fans would disagree. A team game here and there won't hurt but aoe3 is all about the 1v1 supremacy, the battle of wits, just like a game of chess.

I prefer 1v1 but there could a place for 2v2. 3v3 and upwards would not be exciting, neither would FFA. I don't watch a lot of SamuraiRevolution because of this.

@@jeromemartel3916 They have a lot of action but they do not allow for a great depth of strategic thinking. Sometimes it comes down to ganging up on the person with the highest score... among other things. I like to watch 1v1 with players at the highest level because it allows me to be better at the game. Now and then I may feel for some action so I watch SamuraiRevolution but...

I have almost never seen a inca player that wins a longer game... either they win their rush or the game is lost by default cause the civilization sucks so bad

This made me happy to watch because I couldn't hate the Inca more. I despise their building bonuses. They just rebuild too fast. I hate that. Play against AI extreme Inca and they just sit there and rebuild everything after ever successful attack. I play the Chinese and I remember one time sending in 40 steppe riders, 40 keshik, and like 20 hand mortars, by the time I wiped out the west side of their base, they rebuild it on the east side, entirely. That rebuild speed is bananas.

yo i have never disliked the inca as much as seeing this. Insane early ships and fast units and crazy buildings. Those ships are just insane
