But we were living in the Azores, laj field a.f.b. and my gpa in California had a heart attack. We stayed there while dad was given 2 weeks liberty to fly back to the states to be with gpa.. and while he was in the bay him and his buddy went to what turned out to be jimis last performance in the West coast. Hendrix ended up dying roughly 7 months later.

Bob stole it off the guy who was gonna release it him himself, And that guy never released his version because he felt people would think he was copying bob. When jimmy found this out he covered the song, and bob said, ~ " its your song now". "Jimmy gave the song a new meaning to me" ~ Bob Dylan.

If I were to see this randomly in person it would be a true divinity. I can't help but know deep down those older folk were there from that era. The way the lady in the white swayed as if Voodoo Child was being blasted, as if she was transplanted back to those moments. The statue was such a nice touch of higher imagery. On the other side from the lady dancing, was the younger fellow who started all of it by his request. We're all connected. It's amazing how music will never die. ♥️

Even the reply to your comment didn’t understand. As for me, I could only think of Geddy Lee when he played a lead on the keys and guitar at the same time, most impressive.

Playing with the same rhythms and everything makes it easier, not harder. Playing two totally different things would be a lot harder. It’s an interesting gimmick, but anyone with a decent understanding of both guitar and piano should be able to do it with a bit of practice

@@thesmashfloydian dropped in to say the same and you beat me to it. In fact, playing a difficult keyboard line where the left hand (bass) rhythm 'fights' against the rhythm of what the right hand is doing is more difficult that playing an identical part on keys and guitar at the same time. It just seems difficult to non musicians because it's two instruments at the same time. The same could be said of singing while playing the guitar when the rhythm and phrasing of one is greatly juxtaposed to the other.

I love this man, he is so nice and humble and beautiful heart soul person: when he tries to make his "version" of another artist he is not just doing that but creating a lovely energetic moment for the audience, besides, he has no fear of not doing an exact "cover" but a soulfull unique tribute to the requested musician. Again, love you and respect you so much not just as an artist but as an awesome human being!

Paul you are spot on!.. I'm a professional guitar player and I know how difficult it is to play a Jimi Hendrix song. And to think that this guy is not only co-ordinating all the patches he himself is playing, but he's also playing the guitar and the keyboards, both at the same time during the solo. That's incredible! Memories of Jimi Hendrix come flooding back, singing and playing lead at the same time. That's what you call a real one man band!.. Hat's off to him.
