That helicopter was an American helicopter of 1960s vintage. It crashed because they didn't know how to maintain it. 😄

Well thank God for Julia, and a bit of sanity. Today the Duran - which I've followed for years - were talking in hushed sombre tones about the deceased's families, and that the president had been a source of stability and sensible leadership in Iran. I thought I'd woken up in a parallel universe. This is the same Iran which funds the Houthis firing on western ships in Yemen, the same Iran funding Hamas killing Jews in Gaza and the very same Iran funding Hezbollah in Lebanon. Which the Duran knows full well. My only explanation for this incredible volte-face is that they've been 'nobbled'. As you say, Julia, this man was labelled the 'Butcher of Baghdad', and for a good reason.
