The final result is lovely but somehow the results right after the roller set... When the hair was brushed out.... Was so much more glamorous and lovely... Specially with that stunning hair color. I do think that it's genius to stretch the curl before the flatiron...I bet it prevents quite some damage. She's pretty regardless of how her hair is done.

You have straight hair, which I’m sure is beautiful on you. I remember once when I was much younger, I was maybe in my thirties, I was standing at a Macys makeup counter, I was complaining to the lady that was helping me about how I looked, then I heard someone standing behind me say, “you should be thankful.” I looked behind me it was a lady with a rather larger hump in her back and she had some type of facial deformity. I’m an old white lady with bone straight hair. I used to pay big money to get a tightly curled permanent. I loved washing it,letting it air dry and I picked it out. It was so cute and easy. You are right we know a couple of girls with curls and they fight it, they work to straighten it. I would embrace it. We all want what we don’t have. But sweetie you are lovely and a girl is always pretty when she smiles.

That would be me! I hate getting my hair cut but it sort of gives me confidence when I see it done well.

So adorable when she saw her hair for the first time. It reminded me of my first blow out after wearing my curls for two years straight. The shrinkage is real.

Her hair looks so beautiful and healthy even if she hadn't had her ends trimmed in years. Goes to show SOMETIMES, it may not even be needed. Everyone is different. ☺

JaVonna Williams thats true my best friend got her first trim at 20 and only got 3 inches taken off and her hair was still long and when i trimmed it again it still wasn’t a lot she needed taken off, she barely puts heat on her hair, barely manipulates it too many natural hairstyles, she just shampoos conditions and twist her hair.

I hear you, but if your hair "won't grow," you have split ends, your hair looks thin, or you hear "pop pop pop" when you run a brush or comb through it, you need to have your hair trimmed.

I understand why her hair was straightened after the roller set as this is what the client wanted but wow 😍 didn’t her hair look stunning alone when it was brushed out after the rollers. That being said, didn’t really see a need to trim her hair because it won’t be the same when it reverts back to curls and trust me, I learnt the hard way from this. Nevertheless, gorgeous outcome and beautiful work

Jenesis zapata yeah i get that she cleaned up the ends which is great because we all need a trim from time to time it promotes healthy hair growth but at the same time, it will affect her curls maybe not a lot but it will. I remember trimming my hair myself when I used to wear it straightened and believe you me there’s a difference in length when putting scissors to straight hair compared to curly. Obviously depending on your curl type though, for me one curl is almost a whole inch of hair so yes, it matters

i agree . and i hate it. im always looking for prducts to combat shrinkage. so far one that has worked is called NOT YOUR MOTHERS stylinh cream. purple bottle container. its cheap too less tham $5 and paraben free and all that other stuff they claim

Her hair was too healthy, it curled back up. It would have looked a mess before she left the salon.

All the comments on here mainly have the same point, why is she flat ironing after the roller set! My hair is tailbone and my curly is mid back! Being that our natural hair is curly when i do go to the salon it’s to get it straight because it’s nice to see it truly straight every blue moon! Even the roller set is still curly and wavy and I see that as still curly and wavy! So the roller set it a more gentle way to straighten without the blow dryer which means less heat! Great job with everything including the trim!

Ok this will be the must dumb question ever... But I was wondering how long it will stay straight. Like 3 days until you shampoo ? Its not a super long process for just a couple days?

mad 27 lol not a dumb one at all! A lot of factors go into it! So I’m from Louisiana and of course it’s super humid sooo on the rare occasion I do straighten it it’s only when it is cool and if I wrap it or put it up every night it can stay as long as it’s cool outside! The longest has been a month! I’ve done it before during the summer and I may get a week until it’s starts to curl up or frizz... now in other states where humidity is not an issue hair can stay straight for a while maybe month or so as long as it doesn’t get wet or damp in any way! When I wear my hair curly I wash it maybe once a week or if I work out more maybe every three days but normally most do not shampoo it out for weeks if it stays straight!

mad 27 | but curly hairs often don’t wash as often as straight haired people. So you can go a week or longer.

Her curly hair is beautiful and the straight look is a nice occasional change. Love you dear little princess.

@@sonogabri1 In northern Europe, we call this light brown... It's very familiar because it's the same colour as mine. I was almost white blonde until my early teens and then in my late teens it went even darker to this colour. I met up with friends from reception/kindergarten last year and they were stunned that I'm a brunette now. It's grown on me. I didn't like losing my blonde hair in my teens but I rather like it now. It's a little more sophisticated than blonde.

Yeah she did! We always pull on our hair To see how long it would be Straight & That’s how long we say it is As, 👉🏽Aprox. Length braided

I have 4b/4c hair and when it's straight, it's almost at my bellybutton. I get asked that all the time. It's annoying. Or I get stares😒

Brittany Songer all I seen was good comments I didn't read nobody talking about the expression on her face everybody is saying how cute she is and how pretty her hair is she was excited when she seen her hair hanging so pretty they long she's a pretty girl I don't know what you read but everybody gave this child good comments this is a kid she had a happy look on her face this is her first time wearing her hair straightened if you read the top first time getting hair straightened and if anybody did say something about this little girl it's because they jealous that they hear don't look that damn good and their face don't look that pretty

Bullshit. The little girl liked the natural curls. This lame standard of straight hair is wrong. Hair with body and texture is where it's at. Drop the impossible European standards of beauty and just love yourself!
