That’s what happens when you haven’t played a game in a long time. And for this cutscene, most people would’ve raised an eyebrow, but wouldn’t make a note of it in their minds.

I think she notices it at the start of the game, she's staring at her hand in the first cutscene.
Honestly what's always disturbed me about this section was her sudden reaction to the hand. Honestly with how out of left field the Shang tsung energy drain was i can't blame her
