When Ronaldo destroyed Manchester United in the UCL

Спорт

On the 23th of April 2003, Manchester United faced Real Madrid for the 2nd leg of the quarter-finals of the Uefa Champions League. With Real Madrid having won 3-1 in the 1st leg, Manchester United had a tough task in hand. But with world-class footballers such as Van Nistelrooy, Giggs, Ferdinand, Beckham in their squad, a comeback was a real possibility.
Real Madrid's Galacticos featuring Zidane, Roberto Carlos and Luis Figo were a force to be reckoned with especially with Brazilian Ronaldo playing as a striker. Manchester United ended up scoring 4 goals, but Ronaldo's commanding hat-trick made the final score 4-3, which was more than enough for Real Madrid to eliminate Machester United.
Ronaldo was subbed out during the 67th minute, only to be met by a standing ovation from the Manchester United fans, who could do nothing but admire Ronaldo's sheer dominance.

Many greats never won it, that doesn't take anything away from their brilliance.
