By then (98/99 when they first played together), Ronaldo was two time world player of the year and ballon d'or. 3 individual distinction as the best player in the world by the time he was 22 in 97 at barca/inter milan. No one had seen a player as explosive and skill alongside goalscoring prowess as him. It was breathtaking to watch him play especially at barca and PSV and his first season at milan before that Injury.

Unlike today, this team played with no ego just expression and love for beautiful football despite having giants like Cafu, Carlos, Ronaldo + Ronaldinho (new Wiz kid at the time) 🙌

@@davetherave3511 They are not poor defenders but rather multi positional talented. You cant be very poor at your role yet dominate years of starting position for top clubs. No matter how talented they are at attacking, their main role was defender.

Como não? Isso é ciclo. Daqui a pouco surgem outros. É porque você não viu a de 82, que era melhor que essa. Eu era muito criança na Copa de 70 mas a de 82 encantou um mundo. Um time fantástico, perdeu mais pelo excesso de confiança. Se jogasse mais 10 vezes contra a Itália, ganharia as 10.

What was so funny back then that both were named Ronaldinho in Brazil .. Ronaldo since 1996 was named Ronaldinho because there was an older player named Ronaldo in the team and the same happened to Ronaldinho .. his original name was Ronaldo and then he changed it to Ronaldinho because of Ronaldo " The Phenomenon" in the team and he was called Gaucho after the region he belonged to recognize him more And all of that ended in 2009 when Ronaldo moved to Cornithians in Brazil and they called them Ronaldo il fenomeno and Ronaldinho like the rest of the world :D

Os laterais R.Carlos e Cafu jogava dmais sempre apresentando no ataque e todos sempre chutando por gol seja da onde for. Saudades desse futebol de antigamente.

Lembro que entre muitas partidas que assistir da seleção nessa época aí com o finado meu tio(saudades) eu elogiava demais essa seleção e ele tbm,contudo, falava sempre que a melhor foi a de 1982.Dizia ele que qndo o Brazil "queria" virar uma partida virava, vencia e tal...dizia que a bola ia de pé em pé "fácil" dizia ele que foi a melhor que viu jogar,depois foi a de 70.

NEPAL 11 that’s not the problem with Brazil today,if any one knows football really well you will see the difference between the old Brazil and this Brazil.for me the big difference is the ball movement.this Brazil has Neymar holding on to the ball to long,if you observe with Brazil back in rivalries and Ronaldo days,with all these skillful players being the best players for their respective clubs in Europe,they never hold on to the ball for long periods of time so the opponent had problems in slowing down the attack.ronaldo ways was making runs if you observe in this game for example,cause he knows that he would get the ball coming in his direction.the current Brazil team have Neymar holding on to the ball and this slows down the attacking speed of the entire team

@@abdiyousuf5241 Cafu is the best captain the side has had in the last 30 years, and Roberto Carlos is the best left back I have ever seen play. People forget how good Roberto was on the defensive end. And Ronaldo was to football what Lebron James is to basketball, too fast, too big, too quick, and ahead of his time. Ronaldo could play anywhere along the forward line, and was an extremely unselfish teammate.
