Damn what Senegal did in this tournament was just heroic. They debuted into the world cup and played their hearts out on the line. I hope to see Senegal in the spotlight again. Everyone was rooting for them in 2002 against turkey. Good team man. Bruno metsu was a hero and pioneer for Senegal.

He converted to Islam and is buried on a Muslim cemetary. I don't know if he did enough in his life to be granted a place in Jannah. That's up to your god.

I was only 9 years then but i will never forget the literally 'sitting' goal by Papa Bouba Diop of Senegal in the first match of the 2002 world cup.

was a great team... can't forget the match when they won my country Morocco 1-0 at dakar we wanted just a draw to qualify but Senegal did it. and they did a great appearance in the WC.

Senegal did ok in 2018. There game against Colombia was skeptical. They didn't get a penalty they deserved. Colombia lucked out on them.

This World Cup introduced me to two of my favourite national teams... Japan and Senegal... I just loved that team from the very first match... Diouf, Camara, Diop, Khalilou Fadiga, all great players and the manager always looked cool and collected

I'll never forget that time. I just turned 9 years old back then, and I was looking forward to the World Cup. I saw "France vs Senegal" and I had never even heard of Senegal, yet I saw France as a force in world football/soccer. So I was almost certain that France would totally whitewash Senegal. But when I saw that Senegal won 1-0, I was so shocked it was unbelievable. It certainly felt like seeing minnows winning against world kings.

France was the best team in the world at the time. Much like now. So Senegal wasn't intimidated by France and on top of that the Senegalese players played in the French league. Therefore, they knew how the French played.

We still remember this match against France. Senegal...Love from Bangladesh.

I always love minnows. France is my favorite team since 1998. I was upset when they beat france, but after that i prayed for their progress. I was so happy when they upset sweden in the pre-quarter. Ghana was the other minnow i loved.

That was the first FiFa World cup match I have witnessed. I was only 11 years old by then.Back then everyone was surprised by Senegal's performance in the world cup.

I remember it all. I cried with happiness. I love all African teams!

First of all, Metsu was the coach of the UAE from 2006-2008. Also, Metsu died the day after video was uploaded. And, in the beginning of the video the narrator says it's June. This info is outdated, just like the video with Croatia's 1998 World Cup coach. RIP Metsu
