At all. Guys played every game if they could and rivalry games were a game seven in itself. Guys are definitely athletically good today, but in my opinion guys in the 90's went HARD. Plus you could hand check guys and beat their ass in the paint. So much more different today.

I've never seen another vibe like game 7 BULLS-KNICKS in '92 And it came out from nowhere .... that series was a complete surprise: Riley's Knicks hadn't showed their strenght and character yet, and everybody thought it would have been an easy turn for the reigning champions Bulls, specially after the beginning 2-0 for them. Kudos to those Knicks to no give up In facts, that was the 2nd toughest series of all the two Bulls' 3peats, right close to Pacers 1998

1992 2nd Round X-Man........... 19 on 50% Pippen.......... 16 on 40% X-Man was dominating Pippen, which is why he started chirping in Game 7.. He was talking to Pippen and about to give Pippen another migraine until MJ stepped in to be the enforcer for Pippen.. MJ had learned from the 1990 ECF that he needed to be the enforcer for Pippen and couldn't let him have another migraine to trick off another title like 1990.. Being the big brother and enforcer for Pippen was part of the organic learning curve for MJ.. By 1992, he knew that he needed to confront the bully (X-Man), or his team would fall apart.. The only reason that series went 7 games is because Pippen wet the bed - anytime a series was close or lost, it was Pippen's poor play that caused it like the 89' ECF, 90' ECF, 92' ECSF, 96' Finals, 98' Finals, 98' ECF and more.

Jordan was just different. How he goes up against everyone without fear ☝️ and that is often with a bad look into the next situation and the right movement in fractions of a second is simply unique. Take away all the titles and awards and just watch him play. Smoothness, explosiveness, speed, agility, flow of movement, game intelligence, art, concentration, the love of the game, his sake. He would still be the Goat. I think a lot of young people don't really know his videos from the 80's and early 90's. He was just a monster. So he played every damn game and not just season highlight compilations.

Holy shit that sequence at 3:45 by MJ… sliced the double team, then hit an acrobatic double clutch shot over a double team, then gets the steal, gets it stolen, then never gives up on it & sprints 3/4 of the way down & clean blocks McDaniel… Leflop would never. He’d have been to busy crying to the ref for not calling some phantom foul for him, and woulda let McDaniel just get the easy score.

Can we please just show this game to all of those that say Lebron is the GOAT? MJ is the best to ever do it, period. I have no doubt Lebron could have handled the physicality of the NBA back then, but the bottom line is that he never had to in his era. It's not his fault, but its why I give MJ the nod. Not to mention that they practice load management now and MJ played all 82 games damn near every season, including with the Wizards.
