I don't think so! Because in most states if a parent goes to jail for any reason CCPS must remove the child from the care of said parent asap.

I believe because of the lack of evidence they didn’t send the mom to prison, but the fact that a kid in that age knows what does drugs look like and locking himself into the bathroom calling his dad… it looks like a dad-son staged this to frame the mom

From the fact the child is very well spoken for a 5 yr old it seems to me the child has been forced to “grow up” fast in order to survive in that environment. He’s had to learn at a faster rate. People breaking into the house can you imagine the horror and I’m sure he was probably by himself in that situation as well. Shame on the grandmother for covering her daughter’s lying ass knowing full and well their neglect could have resulted in a tragic scene. They should have both been charged…..

Children have innocence and, ironically, can see the world for what it actually is from a fresh perspective, and they often don't really yet understand that calling it out can make sensitive people angry. But they are also highly impressionable, and can be quickly warped into delusions and lies by horrible parents.

(A kid thinking were their parents) It was a trampoline park so we were older than the other kids since we’re teens, this little girl was maybe like 6, and was a triplet. The little girl would not leave me and my one friend alone so I stayed with her because I didn’t want her to get taken or something. She was lowkey mean and would hit us and called my friend slurs which is crazy considering she was 6 😭. Turns out the reason she was like that is because her mom was a criminal. The kid ended up getting hurt and after hours her mom finally came over to watch her and was mean mugging us like it was our fault. The woman had an ankle monitor on cus she was on house arrest. We had to walk away so she didn’t jump us. The girl basically thought we were her parents, made me and my friend hold her and even hold her at the same time like two parents would.

these honestly hurt me so much, i’m not a parent, but i’ve looked after children before, cousins and nephews/nieces, and I love them so much even though they aren’t my kids, so the fact that an actual parent can just so blatantly neglect, or try to harm a child in any way hurt so much.

@@wolfiethefurrygamer1908 That’s a good point. There have been multiple Sarah killers who have said if I’ve only had one good parent I might not have committed my crime. I had some cases that’s exactly true. There are two sides of that problem not harming a child can cause a irreparable damage as in coddling your child can cause irreparable damage. Stephen Jones there has to be a Mileground somewhere for a parent for punishment and shame your child with absolutely no punishment needs to be taken. A parent needs to be held responsible when a child is something wrong. In certain circumstances like in mass shootings especially if they are the ones you have given them the firearms I have seen signs of their children having disturbed or psychiatric problems that they could’ve taken care of and decided not to. At the same point change your child so special that they can do no wrong can also cause the same issues.

To me mostly with the case the woman went out from the 5 year old, even do it's bad and i personally would never do it if the woman was stressed out and just out of it of being a single mom, i would understand it somehow, everyone needs a stress release, everyone chooses there own poison... but this wasn't the case with her, you could see it from her reaction, the screaming alone was enough to make that clear.

@@MiyuKuhaku it's still never your fault though. Your parents are supposed to at least do a basic job of raising you. It's not your job to have to report them for being incompetent. @@MiyuKuhaku I don't think forcing yourself to believe will work. I'd say look at it from lots of different ways, talking to someone, journal about it, and something will click. I didn't work out that kind of stuff till I spoke to a psychologist, but I know they're expensive. The best approach I find is if I think of someone else. So if you saw a little kid now, and their parent was treating them badly, would you say to the kid hey this is your fault, you'd be fine if you just called the cops? I assume your answer is no, because you'd have compassion for the scared and confused child, expected to take on adult levels of bravery just to attempt to get help, with no guarantees. That child is you. Take your compassion for that kid, and give it to yourself.

My parents didn't leave me home alone until i was 13 years old. Before that, if there was ever something they wanted to go do, and I couldn't come along, they just didn't go. When i was little my mom would involve me in chores and shopping, regardless of how much of a hassle it was for her. I didn't grow up privileged, or rich, or anything like that. I grew up poor as shit but my mother did what a mother should and kept track of me, cared for me, and taught me crucial survival skills along the way

My parents were the same. On a Saturday night they went to what's called a working men's club, but only after I was about 10. I'd sit there with my pop & crisps next to my mum. We'd get up and she'd dance and act silly with me. A working men's club is a members only, family friendly in 1 bar with a live group. I learned socialising and how to behave around my peers. We weren't rich, but always well dressed, clean and well fed
