You’re a humble dude also. Takes humility to admit this. I’ve been an admirer of fighting since I was a pup, multiple disciplines. Khabib is the most intelligent fighter I’ve ever seen, and I’ve seen many. Every Khabib fight is a chess match and he absolutely is a grandmaster and unnaturally strong in his disposition and physicality. He’s also an accurate striker that only utilizes it to measure and guide you to his strength, which is what you described. Admittedly, I wasn’t a fan at first glimpse, but I’m one of his biggest now. Genuinely hope he achieves his fathers wish and then focusses on training his fellow Dagestanis and others who wish to amplify their skills. If I were an up and coming fighter, this skillset would be my base accentuated with Muay Thai, boxing and BJJ. Perhaps en la proxima vida. I like to fight but am old in the tooth for it. Nice story, dude.

He might be little too small for middleweight but I definitely think he can be the welterweight champion if he moves up. Usman's stand-up is okayish and Khabib will do the same thing to Usman. Usman might stop him from few takedowns but eventually like everyone else even Usman will get taken down by Khabib and probably submit him in 4th or 5th round. Even if Khabib fails to submit him, he will still win by decision after 5 rounds.

@@dinkin_flicka14 That's completely true. When you are analysing a fight, you should look for paths to the victory, you look what ways can a fighter take to win in correlation to theirs skills. And here Usman doesn't have a way to win over khabib, Khabib striking is way better than Usman, and in the ground he would school Usman even if Usman comes to the fight 20lbs heavier. Usman is not winning a decision, and he is not submitting khabib, only way for him to win is a lucky shot, and Khabib outstriked Gaethje in the first round, and Khabib is the only one who has a Knock down over Conor McGregor in the history of UFC. Usman just doesn't stand a chance on khabib, all that said I think that this fight will be a bit harder than other ones.

@Senox Evevolore Nerves would have very little to nothing to do with his strength, man. It would be his bones which are bigger than smaller men if he in fact "walks around" and 200 pounds. You armchair MMA people kill me with this retarded shit...the myth about people having strength advantages because they "Walk around" at a certain weight. Most of the stuff that you mentioned in your post is pseudo-science type shit. If Khabib cut almost 50lbs to gain a weight advantage, he would in fact be losing fat but also valuable muscle too. Meanwhile, his opponents who are naturally gifted at their base weight classes would actually have the advantage here. Therefore, Khabib being at 155lbs means he does not actually walk around at 200lbs. 170lbs would be more reasonably a heavier weight class he'd obtain albeit with a higher fat percentage than at 155lbs. In short, shedding muscle mass to achieve lower weight only hurts the body because it needs that muscle to lift the base weight/density of the bones. If muscle mass dips beyond what is required to lift the natural base weight of the bone, then one strains their muscles to move. It, therefore, to a large extent doesn't make sense to cut weight as a naturally larger person to compete with naturally smaller people.

@Senox Evevolore Strength is your bones and the tendons, and muscles. You said it was the nerves and shit. I know what I am talking about. The water weight shit isn't as much a factor as you are stating it to be. The body consists of muscle, fat, and fluids. that's true, but a lot of that weight is fat and muscle. The other weight is the fluid and bodily waste you might be carrying, which is pee and shit. It's actually not healthy at all to release water from the body and yes this can be up to a few pounds but not 10 or 20lbs unless you are seriously an obese person. And yes, your bones must be strong to hold your muscles....if they are not, your muscles can snap your bones, etc. It's all relative really. So again, you're not fooling anyone with your pseudo-science shit.

The fact that Khabib can pretty much toy with a light heavyweight, not only proves what coach Javier says about Khabib outwrestling Luke Rockold, and given hard times to DC in their trainings, but also makes more believable Justin's statement about that no one under 185 can beat Khabib, and if there's someone who knows how Khabib and Usman compares in strenght and skills, that's Justin. And also people exaggerate when it comes to Khabib vs Usman, because yes Usman is bigger but this isn't like a Masvidal vs Cejudo type of fight when it comes to size, especially because almost always when we saw Khabib around Usman it was when he was doing cut weight, but watching a 170 Khabib vs a 170 Usman would make thinks look a lot different. Even Colby says that Khabib is bigger than him, and also remember that an old RDA (who is also smaller than Khabib) gave problems to Usman when they fought, while Khabib destroyed a prime RDA.

Khabib is just awesome. This story is very realistic considering it is Khabib. He is the best MMA wrestler ever. I remember wrestling with my bro who is also about 40 lbs heavier than me and when I took him down, I could hold him there for quite some time as well and we both have no real gym experience in wrestling. So this story is amazing but not that shocking to me, just proves how good Khabib is. I remember when I mounted my bro, it was a lot easier for him to stand up because he would just us e all his power and I couldnt hold him there for long, maybe thats why Khabib stayed in half guard and didnt go to the mount position.

Khabib is on a different level. You don't even see those other Dagestani do those nuanced micro-adjustments he does. The wrestling technique gap between him and the rest of the pack is like Anderson Silva's striking back in the days when he fought Leben, Franklin, Griffin etc. If he trains the next generation fighters in Dagestan, that will be a nightmare for fighters from the rest of the world. In contrast to his father, Khabib has not only the knowledge about the Dagestani style wrestling but thanks to his time at AKA with DC also about American collegiate wrestling and with his money he can transform those provisional mountain gyms into top-notch state of the art facilities bringing in high-level striking coaches to supplement their wrestling right from the start. Dagestanis already make their mark right now, but in 5-10 years from now, they will flood the global MMA scene. And it will take all the other places probably at least five years from now to find an answer to the Dagestani wrestling. They are like John Danaher's Death Squat leg lock game that still isn't really solved by the competitors.

If khabib faced the usmans and Covington’s at 170 he wouldn’t win every round like he does at lightweight. This guy might be a light heavyweight but he isn’t elite at grappling. Usman and Covington’s wresting pressure and prowess are serious, far more than anybody in the lightweight division. Burns would also provide serious serious problems for him, obviously khamzat now would also, rocky edwards also can nullify and counter khabib in many ways. The size advantage matters when you know how to use it. Whoever thinks khabib would be guaranteed welterweight champion is kidding themselves. Weight divisions matter, if he could claim 4 weight classes handily then he would have done it....He was smart not to enter 170 tbh and call out gsp. GSP has a welterweight frame which the game has outgrown skill wise. GSP wouldn’t be champ at the current 170 roster, and damn sure wouldn’t at 85. GSP is a legacy fight for khabib...fighting your old hero...but I’m not sure it proves anything. Khabib is the best lightweight for his time, anything else is pure speculation and needs to be proven.
