I don’t always get to head out at my own speed for most of the day, so when I get the chance, I might be a little overzealous.

    That looks really nice! Right at the edge of the Flattop Wilderness, I'm guessing. I was in that area a couple of weeks ago...but I was on the east side of Dunckley Pass. The terrain and snow conditions were not conducive to going off the road, but the road was kind of a snowmobile highway, so it wasn't ideal. I think another time I might start out in Meeker.

    Thanks and correct! The Flat Tops are great if you avoid the 1,000’ cliffs. The wilderness in this area is a big deterrent to snowmobiles as well.

    Do you bring food and plenty of water with you on a tour like this?

    Yeah. I had roughly 2 liters of water (only drank 1) and a bag of walnuts, bars, and an orange. Part of the issue may have been spending 10 hours in the car the day before.
