That first story pisses me off to no end, the fact those women knew they'd get someone in trouble just claiming they were assaulted pisses me off. Their kind of bullshit is why real victims struggle even today to get believed.

OP was very correct about the need for warrants. I have probably watched too many of those attorneys videos. But, here is an aspect that is also important. The area immediately surrounding a house is called the curtelege. It has the same protection under law as the house itself. Warrants to search and arrest are required. Also, you can trespass police. They only get a single courtesy visit, like any other visitor to your property. No peaking into windows and no varying from the path/walk to the front door. The problem with this is that police are unaware of there legal limitations, they haven’t studied the law enough. That can under the back deck was an illegal search, regardless, as the cop was searching the curtelege without a warrant.

Fun fact: Capsaicin, the compound in peppers that makes them spicy, doesn't actually produce heat on its own. Rather, it triggers the affected nerves in such a way that they read it as "hot." Doesn't matter if it's your tongue, your lip, or, as this kid found out, the eyes.

If she didn't know what was happening, I hope that one of the watching employees at least TOLD the mom that her kid smashed peppers in his hands and that it was what he got in his eyes, so he could get proper care quickly and less damage would be done. Kind of cruel to see it happening and not stop it, though I do understand why things went that way.

My father and I were going to get some parts for a customers car and at the corner to the lwft of the stop light we were at, I seen and heard a "man" start yelling and shoving his gurlfriend/wife/sister (not sure of their relation) and he ended up slapping her hard enough to knock her to the ground. At that point, all I could see was red. Before I could jump out of the truck, one of the employees of the gas station ran out and choke slammed the guy. He was maybe 5 foot 4 and the worker is 6 foot 3 and incredibly strong. I went from ready to fight to laughing my butt off instantly. Even my father said he got what he deserved. Later in life, I befriended the worker and found out we're distant cousins. I never got tired of hearing the story from his perspective.

Sadly, I didn’t get to see exactly what happened; I only got to see the aftermath. Still, I'll take it. I was driving home on the state highway that leads almost straight to it. No, it was not an interstate, but I had just gotten off the interstate when this happened. I barely pulled out of the little developed area around the interstate exit when some @$$hole in a Mustang came barreling through, nearly ran me off the road, sounding like it had no muffler. Thankfully, I did not crash into anything, but I was pretty pissed off by that @$$hole. I had managed to catch a good sight of his license plate, and luckily for me, it was a vanity plate - I still remember what it said: "MY ROAD". Like I said, an @$$hole. I pulled out my phone and started dialing 911, watching him speed towards the horizon. Literally right before I tapped the dial icon, a state trooper pulled out of an intersecting road the @$$hole passed. His cruiser was lit up, and despite the distance he was at, I could hear his siren, albeit barely. He immediately turned in the direction the @$$hole sped down and gunned it down that way as well. I started laughing because this state trooper's cruiser was a Mustang. Needless to say, I was pretty giddy about that detail... for about 10 miles of driving, because then it turned into rather extreme levels of satisfaction. At the end of that 10 miles, I saw that state trooper Mustang again. It was pulled over on the side of the state highway, its lights were still flashing, but the siren was off. That was enough to build up my giddiness, at least until I got closer. I started seeing fresh tire marks on the road, and I noticed that they were roughly leading in the direction of that state trooper. At that moment, my giddiness was at its peak. I finally reached it and started pulling past the state trooper. In front of that police Mustang was that @$$hole's Mustang, and the @$$hole's Mustang... was smoking/steaming (couldn't quite tell) as it laid on its roof in the ditch. The driver was on the ground, hands cuffed behind him. That was the hardest I had laughed in a long time by then. About the only surprise was that there was very little debris from the @$$hole's now-wrecked Mustang - at the very least, there was little debris from it on the road.

Plus My Road's insurer will absolutely refuse the claim for damages, because the damage was caused in the felony of speeding and refusing to obey the lawful commands of a police officer to pull over. Add on reckless driving, and attempted evasion, when he gets out of prison he will find he owes on the wreck, and also that he also owes for the tow and crushing.

The problem I have with the first story is that the minute that flashlight came out and is being used that way, unless those cops were wearing body cams, that flashlight was going to be used against OP's head before they broke the door down. If the real cops get involved in college towns, then the college age students ARE going to jail, even if under manufactured charges. Because the business of the town is the college, and the kids are ALWAYS in the wrong if it gets to actual cops being called instead of the college rent-a-cops.

Walmart just uses the security footage, and adds it up at retail price. When it hits a total of $2k, even in a few occasions, they simply bundle all the video up, and open the charge. Then the prosecutor is the one to decide of present the case, or simply have her plea out and pay up.
