But yeah thanks guys, I think it's important for folk to get to see the frame by frame of this fight, it's *nasty* just downright nasty. After Gogeta turns Blue it's... damn. And I've said it elsewhere before, but that is easily the most intense kamehameha I've ever seen. Sure some of the ones in the Tournament of Power from Goku were wider/"bigger," ... THIS thing doesn't even TAKE FORM until a few meters out in front of Gogeta, looks like a frickin' ass blow torch. Thing FEELS heavy, and it's made of light and the dreams of drowned puppies.

I’m pretty sure gogeta got all murder-y when the soul punisher didn’t work. It punishes souls. Yet broly survived, meaning he wasn’t evil, but he was an uncontrolled threat to earth. It went from evil man here to kill, to not evil person, but someone they still had to put down. Imagine getting told you have to kill a rabid wolf terrifying your village, but you realise it’s actually just an abused dog, you can’t not kill it, it’s hurting people, but you can’t feel morally okay after that. So gogeta went from punishing, and having fun, to having to finish a job that he didn’t like, he smirked when he saw broly escape. He has made the choice to put the dog down, but suddenly the dog wasn’t a threat anymore, everything he cared about was safe, including broly.

I never understood where the term soil punisher even came from probably a game, but I always knew it amd heard it as the stardust breaker and the only reason in the movie janemba reverted back was because what they ere fighting was never that demon dude but the evil malignant soul residue that was encasing the demon guy and it being made of microscopic sparkling pieces just helped preserve the dude inside and target only what was needed so I have no idea why people think it was originally intended as a soul cleanser in fusion reborn (again probably games and wonky extended media coverage) but definitely wasn't in this movie 🤔 after some research it does seem like soul punisher was a bit like the term "mystic gohan" just a name that became synonymous with something without being official (God I hate the sound of mystic gohan) and stardust breaker was always the actual name of the move amd later video games just had it labelled as soul punisher probably because the devs who translated it liked the name :)

I think in one of the spinoff show's episodes it has gogeta using the Stardust breaker on someone and it just straight up disintegrates them (showing that said person is just straight up evil). He also frowns after because he doesn't like killing people. I prolly explained it terribly but hopefully that kinda clears stuff up

And its odd people think gogeta is more kindhearted when he hasn't really been shown to be that at all in fact quite the opposite hes gone for the kill near enough every time hes ever been shown 🤔, there's no mention he had any knowledge of wether or not it would only eradicate the sludge and really how could he I doubt it works like yhe genki dama as again its never implied in all his 50 seconds of screen time so it always seemed a bit of a stretch to say that as fact, tho at this point with all the hearsay I'm sure it's been retconend to do exactly that 😂 when that never really came across in the movie and the simpler explanation was that the dust was just the best way to eradicate the sludge and circumvent the regenerating and mutating components of the sludge like how the genki dama wasnt used as kid buu was evil but because it would turn him into atoms

Even though his story continued after the movie, I'd say Frieza from RoF got done worse than Bojack easily. Bro got himself a new form and he still had to cheat against Goku, only to get rocked by Vegeta and have his cheap win ripped from his hands by Whis, with Goku coming back to finish the job. At least Bojack got to have fun beating up half the Z-Fighters before getting killed. Frieza bullied Gohan and then spent the rest of the movie fighting for his life in a no-win scenario.

The Goku aspect of Gogeta is actually what's making him seem so bent on murder. It's actually a somberness. He does not want to do this... But after the Stardust Breaker fails, it's hard proof that Broly *does not deserve this.* The Stardust Breaker (Soul Punisher) is basically Hakai, but only for bad people. Gogeta always had the intent to kill; he even used the would punisher which would have been the end of Broly had he been evil. It wasn't until Gogeta went blue that the gap in power increased substantially, and even then, he tried ending it quickly before Broly adapted to their power.
