I don't know how I got the achievement, I was just playing an IM Non-historical with Germany ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I've found that diesel engines are more useful than gas engines because the extra 25% reliability allows you to increase speed to match with gas while giving space for a bit more armor upgrades. Also use the mobile tank designer as it's giving you 10% reliability. And even then speed isn't what it seems. Between weather and road debuffs you're lucky to hit 5kmh. And mech can now be half the cost with upgrades and can hit 100% reliability.

What O don't like is how small the supply now even with full upgrade railroad you still find yourself out of supply.

@@kmit9191 there is a limit on those honey, you can only make so much of supply planes operation because it consume command point and by boat you need bigger dockyard it's same as building supply depot and upgrading the rail. In grand scheme of things this would massively help the allies because command point is fixed per nation and the more nation your faction is the more area being supplied by planes. This actually changing the whole game now instead of annexation you makes puppet in hope that puppet deploy planes on the front line. Just give them transport lend lease.

@@gkagara you still have to consider the amount of troops you’re stationing per province, nearby supply hubs, enemy bombing etc. I haven’t had much problems with supply so far except when going into the USSR

The New DLC also gave the Micromanagement with tanks and infantry a new meaning, because in the past it was always about doing a circlement, but now its like: where are railways i could capture so the Enemy has no more supply.

Believe or not it's much easier to break army now, and concentrated spearhead in more meaningful than sporadic attack here and there.

@@gkagara Reminds me of Operation Bagration vs Operation Barbarossa. In this case Bagration was much more successful in breaking the enemy army and forcing them constantly retreating.

Attacking the railways and actually building infrastructure is so much fun. I love the railroad systems so far.

To sealion u.k now in vanilla, you need like 1.2k naval bombers and fighters, and start planning the invasion before France capitulates. Basically same as before but you have to prepare from 1936.

I will be honest, thanks for making a video like this and including information of how the new meta works, I was trying out the focus tree of Russia (following historical path) but my defensive line behind the river fell, so at least now I know some stuff I need to watch when making my divisions templates and tanks

I love how the devs force you to research artillery to improve your tanks. It's actually really helpful to do since you're improving your infantry as you are focusing on tanks.

something i realy like and wanted for a long time as stupid as it sounds that you can move templates and decomision i always had a system and would duplicate and delete just to get my troops in the right order moving them makes me so happy

I think 20 width is the way to go now. If I remember right they changed combat so that two 20s stats would stack when fighting 40 width for example. So using 40 width really only limits the amount of Frontline you can cover and draw more supply from a single tile.

Very interesting. I'll have to get confirmation somewhere that 2 20s now stack. But I hate having multiple theaters, so I always eventally made all armies into 40 width to limit the amount of generals needed.

Worry about infantry AT scaling with the Tank Designer, but really enjoying the supply system. Frustrating, but a good limiting factor.

I love the fact that they’ve used a still from the monty python sketch as the picture for the achievement

New update rly surprises me. It gives a new meaning to airforce. Before i give middlefinger to AF since tank rush and bunch of troops will win any battle but now.. daym u cant take an encircled city with your logis burned by bombers. Its funny i had a stalemate in the front and the cure is bomb the hostile supply routes

I feel that non historical is really fun with this dlc. There's lots of alternative pathways and the ia seems to react to each other's choices making a somewhat coherent story.

Any chance tommy could group up with some other content creators/players and create a “hitchhikers guide to HOI4?” Where it’s a cursory explanation and visual walkthrough where they explain what they’re doing and why so we can better understand what we’re watching? I know it sounds real cumbersome and tedious but I think it would help a lot of people looking to join our community as we grow!

Played as Hungary and rushed fighter 3 with this new dlc had a great time this new dlc helps a lot with minors it feels

I got this achievement on accident while blitzkreiging to Moscow in 1940, if you get out GB and Allies early then Stalin still has really low stability, you can rush war with the ussr focus and just roll them with cas and transports
